Factors Determining Karnataka NEET 2023 Cutoff

Multiple factors play a significant role in determining the NEET 2023 Cutoff for Karnataka. These factors include:

  1. Total Number of Candidates: The number of candidates appearing for the NEET UG 2023 exam in Karnataka will impact the cutoff. A higher number of candidates might lead to increased competition, potentially raising the cutoff scores.
  2. Difficulty Level of the Question Paper: The complexity and difficulty level of the NEET 2023 question paper can influence the Karnataka NEET 2023 cutoff. If the paper is exceptionally challenging, it may result in lower overall scores, leading to a lower cutoff. Conversely, if the paper is relatively easier, the cutoff scores might be higher.
  3. Total Seats Available: The total number of seats allocated to medical and dental colleges in Karnataka for the specific academic year is a crucial factor in determining the NEET 2023 cutoff for Karnataka. If there is a limited number of seats available, the competition among candidates will be intense, potentially leading to higher cutoff scores. Conversely, if there are an ample number of seats, the cutoff scores may be relatively lower.

NEET 2023 Cutoff for Karnataka: Tie-breaking Process

There have been many instances when two or more candidates have ended up obtaining the same marks in NEET exam. However, they have been allotted different ranks. This is done by following the NEET Tie-breaking protocol in order of preference. As per the tie-breaking policy, the rank of the candidates scoring the same NEET 2023 Cutoff will be allotted in the following order:

  • The aspirant scoring a higher score or percentile in Biology will be ranked higher

  • In case a tie exists, the candidate obtaining a higher score or percentile in Chemistry will be allotted a higher rank

  • If that fails to resolve the tie, then the candidate giving the lesser number of incorrect answers will be positioned at a higher rank
