NTPC Recruitment through CLAT 2022: Application Process

NTPC is expected to release the application form in May 2022. Aspirants need to follow the mentioned steps in order to participate in the application process.

  • Visit the official website of NTPC and click on the link that displays ‘Apply Online’.

  • Fill in all the required information that includes the Registration Number or the Application Number of CLAT 2022.

  • Click on ‘Submit’.

  • Upload the required documents such as photograph and qualification certificates in either image or PDF format.

  • Make the payment of the application and complete the process.

  • Note: Candidates are advised to fill correct details in the form. If any information is found out to be either incorrect or misleading, the application or the candidature would be disqualified then and there. Also, the application would be considered complete only after the payment has been successfully received.

NTPC Recruitment through CLAT 2022: Application Fees

Candidates need to revoke the pay-in-slip at the branch of SBI only. Students should take out a print of the slip from the official portal and the payment of the application fee will be accepted at the branch of SBI bank only. Check out the detailed application fees for each category.

Note: Write down the branch code and journal number of the bank that collects the application fees. This information is required to be filled in during the time of the online registration. Also, note that the application fee is non-refundable.

NTPC Recruitment through CLAT 2022: Eligibility Criteria

It is crucial that aspirants satisfy the eligibility criteria of Law Officers (E1 Level) before applying for NTPC Recruitment through CLAT 2022. Mentioned below are the pointers of minimum conditions that a candidate must meet.

Education Qualification:

  • A bachelor’s degree in law (3 year LLB or 5 years integrated LLB) from a recognised Indian Institute/University.

  • A minimum aggregate of 60% is required in the qualifying examination. 5% of relaxation is provided to SC/PwD candidates.

  • Candidates with a 5-year integrated law degree will be preferred over the candidates with 3 years of LLB degree.

  • At the time of filling the application form, candidates should register with the BCI (Bar Council of India) as practising advocates.

Work Experience:

  • Candidates should have a full-time work experience of minimum of 2 years in the field of law.

  • Internship during the contribution of the LLB programme will not be counted as an experience.

  • Aspirants must have experience practising at Bar / handling legal work under employment with a private or public organization or with Central/State Government/ working with Law firms etc.

Age Limit:

The upper age limit for NTPC Recruitment through CLAT 2022 is 30 years as on the last date of registration for the same. Check out the age limit mentioned for vivid reserved categories below.

NTPC Recruitment through CLAT 2022: Selection Process

Mentioned below is the detailed information describing the selection process of NTPC Recruitment through CLAT 2022 for the post of law officers (Entry Level E1).

  • Candidates willing to apply for the post of law officers need to appear for the CLAT 2022 exam.

  • NTPC will release a cut-off list for the CLAT 2022. Only upon qualifying it, a candidate will be able to move ahead to the next stage.

  • Candidates will be called for the interview process.

  • Once all the processes are complete, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in CLAT 2022, academic qualification and interview round.

Note: The interview syllabus for the aspiring candidates is not the same as CLAT 2022. Questions arise from various fields. Candidates need to be well-versed with day to day matters such as Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Company Law, Industrial Disputes Act and general current affairs.
