The result of the IIFT 2021 entrance exam was announced on February 16, 2021. IIFT has released an additional list of 32 candidates shortlisted for the second round on March 19, 2021. This supplementary list has been released in addition to the first list of candidates shortlisted for the second round of the IIFT 2021 Selection Process for MBA (IB) admissions at IIFT. A total of 2,672 candidates have been shortlisted for admission at IIFT this year in the first list and 32 additional were added in the supplementary list released by IIFT. Along with the shortlist, IIFT has also released the shortlisting criteria and the category-wise sectional cut-offs used for shortlisting candidates. The cutoff was 19 marks in VARC, 13 marks in DILR, 8 marks in QA and 5.5 marks in GA for General category candidates. Check IIFT 2021 Cut Off for the detailed cut off marks.
IIFT will now begin conducting the MBA (IB) Admission Process for its various campuses. Candidates who have been shortlisted will be required to appear for Essay Writing, Extempore and Personal Interview rounds for selection. The entire IIFT 2021 Admission Process will be conducted online this year. and Group Discussion round has been dropped from this year's section process. The admission dates of IIFT 2021 will be communicated to the candidates via email. The final selection of the candidates will depend on their overall performance in the entrance exam, as well as their performance in the admission rounds and their academic qualifications.

After the declaration of IIFT 2021 Results, the institute releases the list of candidates shortlisted for admission to its MBA (IB) course. IIFT 2021 Shortlist has been released online. Given below is the shortlisting cut off for IIFT 2021.

Candidates will be now shortlisted for the GD/ EW and PI rounds. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via mail. They will then have to appear for the admission rounds at the centres decided by the college. Essay Writing (EW)
In this round, candidates will be asked to write an essay on the given topic
This round aims at testing the writing skills of the candidates
The essay written by the candidate can be limited to 150 to 200 words
Extempore is an important round in which a candidate is asked to deliver a short speech on any random topic given by the interviewer.
Candidates usually have no prior knowledge of their topic and they are given a limited time to prepare and deliver a short speech in front of the interviewer.

Personal Interview (PI)
The PI round tests the communication and presentation skills of the candidates.
Candidates will have to answer the questions asked by the interviewer.
Usually, the interviewers ask questions about hobbies, families, academics, choice of subject etc.

Important Things to Do After IIFT Result
Some of the important things that candidates should do after completion of the IIFT exam or after the declaration of the IIFT result are as follows
Prepare for IIFT EW, Extempore and PI
Since the final selection will be done only after the completion of the EW, Extempore and PI rounds, candidates need to prepare hard in order to crack those rounds. Some of the important tips to crack the selection rounds are listed below.
Candidates should practice writing a small topic of around 200-300 words on various topics. They should try to complete the topic within 20 minutes.
Candidates should go through the commonly asked questions in the PI questions to get an idea about what type of questions are asked in the PI round.
Candidates should try to speak on any random topic for at least 10-15 minutes. This will help them improve their communication skills.
There are many books available in the market that can help the candidates prepare for the selection rounds for management admission. Candidates can refer to them.
Candidates should be aware of the current affairs as the interviewer can ask questions from the current affairs.
Appear for Other MBA Entrance Exams
Apart from IIFT, there are many other MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT and SNAP. Candidates should appear for the national level entrance exam such as CAT or CMAT as these exams can help the candidates get admission in other well-known B-Schools of India.
