What after IIFT result 2023 is something that is on the mind of every IIFT test-taker. The IIFT Result 2023 has been announced by NTA (National Testing Agency) on February 10, 2023. IIFTs will soon release the category-wise sectional cut-offs and those who clear the IIFT 2023 Cut Off will be shortlisted for WAT, Extempore, and PI. The shortlisting criteria for the selection of candidates for the MBA International Business and MBA Business Analytics courses will also be announced after the IIFT 2023 result.

IIFT 2023 Exam was conducted on December 18, 2022, in computer-based test mode. NTA released the IIFT Answer Key and IIFT Response Sheet 2023 on January 9, 2023. 

The admission dates of IIFT 2023 will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates via email. The final selection of the candidates will depend on various factors, including their scores in IIFT 2023 exam, performance in the selection rounds, academic qualifications, working experience, academic diversity, and gender diversity. What After IIFT 2023 Result?

The IIFT MBA admission 2023 is scheduled to be held in March / April 2023 at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Mumbai. Given below are the various processes/ stages that take place after the declaration of IIFT 2023 Results. After the declaration of IIFT 2023 Results, the institute releases the list of candidates shortlisted for admission to its MBA (IB) course. Candidates will be now shortlisted for the Extempore and PI rounds. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via mail. IIFT 2023 Admission Process

Candidates who have been shortlisted are required to appear for IIFT Admission Process 2023, which can be found below.

Written Ability Test (WAT)

  • In this round, candidates have to write an essay from a comprehension given to them.
  • Based on the essay written by them, their written skills will be analyzed.
  • The time allotted for WAT is 20 minutes and the word limit of the essay is 300 words.

Extempore/ Group Discussion

  • GD is an important round in which a candidate is asked to deliver a short speech on any random topic given by the interviewer.
  • Candidates usually have no prior knowledge of their topic and they are given a limited time to prepare and deliver a short speech in front of the interviewer.

Personal Interview (PI)

Important Things to Do After IIFT Result 2023

Some of the important things that candidates should do after completion of the IIFT exam or after the declaration of the IIFT result are as follows

Prepare for IIFT WAT, GD, and PI 

Since the final selection will be done only after the completion of the WAT, GD, and PI rounds, candidates need to prepare hard to crack those rounds. Some of the important tips to crack the selection rounds are listed below.

  • Candidates should practice writing a small topic of around 200-300 words on various topics. They should try to complete the topic within 20 minutes. 

  • Candidates should go through the commonly asked questions in the PI questions to get an idea about what types of questions are asked in the PI round.

  • Candidates should try to speak on any random topic for at least 10-15 minutes. This will help them improve their communication skills.

  • There are many books available in the market that can help candidates prepare for the selection rounds for management admission. Candidates can refer to them.

When will IIFT 2023 result be declared?

IIFT result 2023 will most likely be declared in the fourth week of January 2023. The result for IIFT 2023 will be declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official IIFT NTA website (iift.nta.nic). After the result is declared, NTA will have no further involvement in the IIFT selection process.

What happens after the IIFT result declaration?

After the IIFT result declaration, the institute will release the cutoff and shortlist candidates for selection rounds (GD, PI, and WAT). The shortlisting for selection rounds will be done on the basis of a candidate’s performance in the IIFT exam and academic background. No, you can’t get MB admission if you don’t meet the IIFT cutoff. It is mandatory for candidates to clear the sectional as well as the overall cutoff prescribed by the institutes for getting shortlisted for GD, PI, and WAT rounds.

How many students are shortlisted for IIFT admission?

Around 367 students are shortlisted for admission at IIFT Delhi and 358 students are selected for IIFT Kolkata. Every year, about 35,000 to 40,000 students appear for the IIFT entrance exam out of which 1,000 candidates are shortlisted for WAT, GD, and PI.

How much should I score in the IIFT exam to get a call?

A candidate belonging to the general category must score 96-97 percentile within the score range of 115-120 marks out of a total of 300 in the IIFT exam to get a call. Candidates belonging to the EWS/OBC category must score 100+ marks while SC/ST candidates should score 80+ marks. There is a relaxation of 5 to 8 marks for female candidates.

Is the IIFT score accepted by other MBA colleges?

No, the IIFT score is not accepted by other MBA colleges. Only IIFT Delhi, IIFT Kolkata, and IIFT Kakinada accept the scores of the IIFT exam. IIFT Delhi and Kolkata offer MBA in International Business and MBA in Business Analytics courses while IIFT Kakinada offers Integrated Programme in Management (Business Analytics and International Business).
