JEE Main 2026 Exam Postponed in West Bengal: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the date of the January 23, 2026, JEE Mains examination taking place in West Bengal following requests received from candidates to celebrate Saraswati Puja on the same day. Consequently, many candidates had shown concerns owing to the immense spread of this festival in the region, thus making it hard for them to take the examination. This appeal, therefore, prompted the NTA, in an update on ‘X’, to decide that the candidates, whose date of examination has been fixed for January 23, in West Bengal, shall get this date further revised along with the existing Schedule 1 examination sessions.

Photo Verification JEE Main 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) said that the verification of the certificate for the photograph would be done today, January 15, 2026. This additional verification step was introduced to ensure accurate identification of candidates and prevent any mismatch or impersonation during the examination. Candidates who were notified by the NTA on their registered email IDs have been given a dedicated link on the official JEE Main website. They can download the certificate from the portal and paste a recent passport-size photograph, get it attested from the school principal or from a Class-I gazetted officer, and then upload the same in scanned PDF format through their login.
