Dibrugarh University ranked 33rd in the NIRF Ranking 2023 in the Pharmacy category.  The university scored 54.84. The university conducts its own entrance test known as  Dibrugarh University Research Admission Test (DURAT). It also accepts various other entrance tests such as Assam CEECBSE, DUEE, MAT, CAT, GATE, GPAT, and UGC NET.  Admission to Dibrugarh University courses is primarily based on marks obtained in Dibrugarh University CET or any other entrance test accepted by the university. The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in a personal Interview. Dibrugarh University courses are offered in the field of arts, commerce, science, social science, humanities, technology, pharmacy, physiotherapy, IT, commerce, management and skill studies. 

Dibrugarh University is a state-owned university in  Assam. The university is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.  Dibrugarh University campus spreads over 550 acres with around 4000 students. The university has CBCS system at the post-graduation level.
