• Candidates must have a Masters degree or a professional degree from a recognized University which is equivalent to the Master's degree of Calicut University.
• Candidate must have 55% marks in aggregate

• Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes would be given a relaxation of 10% from a secured 45% or 55%.
• OBC candidates can opt for a 5% relaxation in 50% to 55% marks obtained in graduation.

• Candidates who have passed M.Phil with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible for the PhD programme.

How to Apply for Calicut University PhD Admissions 2022?

Step -1: CAP ID Creation

• Candidates applying for PhD 2022 shall initially create a CAP ID by providing the mobile number in the "REGISTER" link on PhD 2022 registration page.
• After successful verification of the mobile number via OTP, a CAP ID and Password (Security Key) will be sent to the registered mobile number (Mobile number of students/ parents/ guardian shall only be furnished).

Step -2:  Registration Completion and Making Payment 

• With the CAP ID and Password (Security Key) received in the registered mobile number, the candidate can log in and fill the registration page by providing the required data
• Candidates shall take utmost care while selecting the reservation category during the filling up of registration data. 
• For completing the registration, the candidate shall click on the "Final Submit & Pay" button and make a payment.
• An online registration fee of Rs. 750/- for the General Category and Rs.280/- for the SC/ST Category will have to be paid by the candidates for completing the registration procedure.

Note:  

• A candidate's application will be considered complete only if he/she has completed the above-mentioned steps and is holding a finalised printout showing the approved stamp on the candidate's photo
• All candidates including entrance exempted candidates, shall register online for seeking admission to PhD programme 2022.
• Printouts of the PhD applications shall not be sent by the applicants to the departments concerned. Instead, the application printouts may be submitted by the students at the time of admission at the departments/research centres.
