Chhattisgarh MBBS Admissions 2024 is going to be conducted in July 2024. NEET 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2024 (Sunday). Based on the latest schedule released by NTA, it is likely that NEET result will be released on the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2024. Once the result is declared, Chhattisgarh MBBS Admissions 2024 begins. Initially, a merit lists will be released, candidates whose name will appear in this list will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Those whose names appear on the merit list will participate in the further rounds of counselling like choice-filling and locking process, downloading seat allocation PDFs and much more.

The Directorate of Medical Education - Raipur is responsible for publishing the Chhattisgarh MBBS admissions 2024 notification.  The DME Raipur conducts the admission process for the MBBS courses under the 85% state merit quota. For the rest of the 15% MBBS seats, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) helds the admission process under All-India Quota. NEET-UG Exam qualifiers in Chhattisgarh are eligible for admission to MBBS courses under 85% state quota as well as 15% all-India Quota.

Chhattisgarh MBBS Admissions Eligibility Criteria 2024

Domicile Rules: The applicants of MBBS course must note that they will be considered for the admission to MBBS course for 85% state merit quota only if they are the bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh. The candidates must have completed their Class 10 and Class 12 from schools located in Chhattisgarh. The admission committee will treat only those candidates eligible for the admission to MBBS course.

Academic Requirements: NEET-UG 2024 score is mandatory for seeking MBBS admission in Chhattisgarh. The applicants must have at least minimum qualifying marks in NEET so that they will be considered for the admission. General category candidates should have 50% marks in Class 12 with Chemistry, Physics and Biology as the mandatory subjects. For reserved category candidates, 40% marks are enough in Class 12 with subjects as mentioned above.

MBBS Age Criteria: Apart from the above requirements, the candidates should not be less than 17 years of age as on December 31, 2024. Applicants up to 25 years of age as on May 06, 2024, are also eligible to apply for MBBS course in Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh MBBS Application Process 2024

Stage I: The submission of online application form for the MBBS course is possible only through the official website of DME Raipur. Therefore, the candidates will have to visit the official website and click on the relevant link to submit the online application. NEET-UG roll number is mandatory to activate the online application form.

Stage II: Once the online application form is displayed on the screen, the candidates must fill up all the personal and academic details carefully. The admission committee will reject incomplete application forms or application forms with false information.

Stage III: At this stage, the candidates must upload the scanned copies of prescribed certificates or documents. The list of documents is listed below: -

  • Class 10 & Class 12 certificate/ mark sheet

  • NEET-UG Scorecard

  • NEET-UG Admit Card

  • Category Certificate (if applicable)

  • Resident Certificate/ Domicile Certificate

  • Passport Size Photograph

  • Signature

Stage IV: Pay the counselling fee after uploading the documents. The counselling processing fee is Rs. 1,000 for General category and Rs. 500 for reserved categories.

Stage V: Take the printout of application form for future reference.

Chhattisgarh MBBS Merit List 2024

DME Raipur prepares a merit list of NEET-UG qualifiers who have submitted the online application form for MBBS course. The names in the merit list will be listed as per merit, i.e., marks scored in NEET-UG. Candidates with highest marks in NEET-UG from Chhattisgarh will be placed at the top of the merit list. If the candidate’s name features in the merit list, it means that he/ she is eligible to take part in the counselling process.

Chhattisgarh MBBS Counselling Process 2024

  • DME Raipur conducts only online counselling for the first and second round while it conducts offline counselling for the mop-up round.

  • During the counselling process, candidates must log in to the official website to choose their preferences (colleges).

  • The candidates must choose and lock the college preference as per his wish/ convenience.

  • Save the preferences and log out.

  • Wait for the seat allocation results. The results will be declared a couple of days after the choice filling process.

Chhattisgarh MBBS Selection Process 2024

The selection is solely based on the candidate’s performance in NEET-UG 2024, reservation policy and preferences. DME Raipur releases seat allocation list after the completion of first-round counselling. Candidates whose name is featured in the MBBS selection list must report to the allotted college on or before the stipulated date, pay the course fee, submit the original documents and confirm the admission.

The Government Dental College Raipur cutoff 2023 for NEET UG is more than 400 marks for state-quota students. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Raipur has released the NEET cut-off 2023 Chhattisgarh round 1 for 85% of state quota seats. For admission to the MBBS course at the Army College of Medical Sciences Delhi, a valid NEET UG 2023 score is necessary. The NEET cut off marks differ for various student categories (GEN, EWS, SC, ST, OBC, etc.). The 458 marks is a good NEET score if you belong to an OBC category.
