Bihar NEET Cutoff 2023

Bihar NEET cutoff 2023 is expected to be 50 percentile for general category students and 40% for SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates. The exact cutoff information will be declared by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board as and when the state counselling rounds are held. The selection of the candidates in medical colleges in Bihar is based on the NEET 2023 Scorecard. Candidates applying for their respective courses must clear the NEET UG 2023 entrance exam.

The counselling process will be held in three rounds. Candidates who score the minimum cutoff marks in the respective category will be eligible to apply for Bihar MBBS/BDS admissions 2023. However, those who are unable to get a seat in the first round of counselling will have the option of reapplying for the second round of counselling.

Bihar 2023 NEET Cutoff for 15% All India Quota

The Bihar NEET cutoff 2023 for 15% All India Quota will be published by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Reportedly, a total of 168 seats are available under this category. Further, the seats will be reserved for OBC, SC, and ST categories. However, candidates must keep in mind that under this quota, the overall AlR and NEET scores will be taken into consideration for admission to government medical colleges during centralized counselling.

Bihar NEET Cutoff 2023 for 85% State Quota

The 85% State Quota simply means that aspirants with a domicile of the state and applying under this category will have 85% of the seats reserved for admission to medical colleges in Bihar. As per reports, there are about 2540 MBBS seats available for admission in 2023. However, there are a few criteria that candidates need to meet to be eligible to apply through the state quota. These are as follows:

  • The candidate must be a domicile of Bihar

  • The candidate’s parents must have a permanent residence in the state 

The merit list published by the state authority will mention whether or not an aspirant meets the above criteria along with the qualifying percentile. The Bihar MBBS admission 2023 will be conducted based on merit-cum-preference, reservation criteria, availability of seats, and other factors. The state quota for Bihar NEET cutoff 2023 includes the following reservation categories:

  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)

  • Scheduled Caste (SC)

  • Other Backward Class (OBC)

  • Extremely Backward Class (EWC)

  • Reserved Category Girls (RCG)
