About COMEDK UGET 2025

COMEDK UGET is a national-level common entrance exam for admission to Karnataka's private engineering institutions. The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka, or COMEDK, is the organization that runs UGET. It is an autonomous entity tasked with organizing UGET. The undergraduate entrance test (UGET) is a computer-based assessment for admission to BE/BTech programs. This test is offered to all qualified students across the country. Seats in colleges are assigned based on COMEDK UGET results using an online counselling system.

COMEDK UGET 2025 Eligiblity Criteria

  • The qualifying examination for admission to B.E./B. Tech is the second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or similar examination recognized by the State/Central Government; the last two years of study should include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with English as a required subject.

  • General Merit applicants must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, and OBC students in Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as passing these courses individually. Physics and mathematics are required disciplines, with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics as an optional study. However, any adjustments to the qualifying requirements proposed by the AICTE/VTU shall be implemented.

  • An attempt at the COMEDK UGET Entrance Test for admission to Engineering degrees is deemed sufficient for inclusion in the rank list.

  • Diploma applicants are ineligible to take the Entrance Test since there are no lateral entry admissions.
