How to Calculate COMEDK Rank?
The rank of COMEDK UGET is calculated based on the marks that one secures in the entrance examination. One has to score more marks to secure a high rank in the exam. In case the candidates do not get a high rank, they will have to settle on the quality of the college. Moreover, the COMEDK Rank is affected by several factors such as the difficulty of an exam, previous year cutoff trends, etc.
COMEDK UGET 2024 Ranking System (Percentile-Based)
The ranking system of COMEDK 2024 is purely based on the marks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam (out of 180). As the exam takes place in two shifts, the normalization process shall be implemented for calculating results to ensure fairness. The scores will be converted into a percentile, and the rank will be based on the percentile only. There are no reservation rules in COMEDK, and all candidates are treated under GM (General Merit). However, there is a special category of admission for candidates belonging to the Hyderabad-Karnataka Region.

COMEDK UGET 2024 Tie-Breaking Policy
If two or more candidates secure similar marks, tie-breaking rules will be applied to resolve the tie. The tie-breaking rules for COMEDK UGET have been mentioned below.
Rule 1 | Higher percentile scored in Mathematics and Physics shall be considered to resolve the tie |

Rule 2 | If the tie still exists after applying the above rule, individual percentile scored in Mathematics shall be considered to resolve the tie |
Rule 3 | If the tie still exists above applying the above two rules, individual marks scored in Chemistry shall be considered to resolve the tie |
Rule 4 | If the tie still pertains after applying the above three rules, the age of the candidate shall be considered to resolve the tie. Candidates older in age shall be given higher preference than the younger candidate |
