GATE 2025 Preparation Tips

GATE being one of the toughest and most competitive engineering entrance examinations in India, demands a comprehensive preparation strategy and thorough revisions. With the right GATE 2025 preparation tips and tricks and utmost dedication, candidates can crack GATE 2025 in the very first attempt. Here are some useful preparation tips to help students gear up for GATE 2025:
  1. Start Your Preparations Early

Aspirants wondering how to prepare for GATE 2025 without coaching should know that starting early is key to success. Therefore, one must start preparing for GATE 2025 at least 7-8 months ahead of the examination. Starting GATE 2025 preparations early will allow them more time to work out a comprehensive strategy, go through the complete syllabus and then review the high-weightage, important topics at their own pace.
  1. Work Out a Study Plan

Having a study schedule is crucial to any exam preparation and GATE 2025 is no exception. Candidates should devise a study timetable based on their aptitude and preference to include various topics from GATE 2025 syllabus. While planning the timetable, they should divide the chapters/ topics in such a manner that they do not get monotonous. Special attention and more time should be allotted to difficult and high-scoring topics demanding conceptual understanding. With a balanced timetable in place, students can stay focused and meet their daily and weekly goals more effectively.
  1. Choose Online Study Materials Wisely

With the availability of online study materials and tutorial videos, candidates are encouraged to choose the study resources wisely. Apart from studying the best books for GATE 2025, students are encouraged to refer to various educational videos shared by prominent coaching institutes, GATE model question papers and previous year question papers etc.
  1. Assess Your Strengths and Weaknesses

While preparing for GATE 2025, students may find certain subjects or topics easier than the others. While the General Aptitude and Subject Papers may seem doable to many, others may have a hard time practicing Engineering Mathematics. Thus, it is crucial to understand one’s strengths and shortcomings and work their way through – understand the fundamental concepts and spend more time revising and practicing questions from the difficult chapters to gain confidence.
  1. Revise Daily

The saying ‘Practice makes a man perfect’ cannot be emphasized more. One of the most important aspects of GATE 2025 preparation is daily revision and practice. Once the entire syllabus is covered, students should focus on revising the previous chapters to recall the formulas, definitions, theorems and concepts. GATE mock test 2025 is a great way to test one’s knowledge and exam readiness. Candidates must therefore attempt at least 2-3 mock tests a week to assess their GATE preparation 2025 during the last 3-4 months before the exam.

Will There Be Any Changes in GATE 2025?

IIT Roorkee, which is responsible for conducting GATE 2025 has not announced or introduced any new changes in the GATE 2025 exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility or admission criteria. In the event of any such occurrence, students will be notified of the same in the GATE 2025 official notification once it is released. Candidates should know that last year, the previous conducting body, IISc Bangalore introduced a new GATE exam paper on Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

Dear Student,

90 percentile in JEE Main is a very good percentile which can get you some of the prominent colleges like IIT Guwahati, IIT Indore, IIT Mandi, IIT Patna, or IIT Ropar) for various branches, depending on your category and branch preference. Top IITs like Bombay, Delhi, Madras, etc., might be more challenging but not impossible. You'll also have excellent opportunities for admission into top NITs like Warangal, Surathkal, Trichy, Raipur, Rourkela, Jamshedpur, etc., for various branches like CSE, EEE, IT, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, etc. with this percentile.
