Candidates must pass Class 12 with an aggregate score ranging from 45-60% to secure admission to the BSc colleges in Maharashtra. The Maharashtra BSc admission process 2024 involves the following stages:

  1. Eligible candidates must register, appear, and qualify for entrance exams conducted for admission to undergraduate courses like NPAT by NMIMS and ACET by Ajeenkya DY Patil University.
  2. The marks obtained by the candidates in class 12 and their performance in the entrance exam will determine if they will be shortlisted for the personal interview.
  3. After this, the shortlisted candidates must appear for counselling and personal interview conducted at the college campus.
  4. A document verification process will also be conducted in which candidates must submit their original documents along with the photocopies for verification.
  5. The final merit list will be created based on various factors such as marks obtained in the qualifying examination (12th standard), personal interview, category of the candidate, etc.

Common University Entrance Test (CUET)

Conducted by the National Testing Agency, the CUET exam is administered as a Multiple choice Question (MCQ) type exam over a duration of 2 hours. There will be 4 sections and a total of 175 questions in the question paper. The exam will include a Language Test, Domain Specific Subjects, and General Subjects. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET)

The SET exam is conducted as an undergraduate entrance exam by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). A total of 60 questions will be asked from General English, Quantitative Analysis, General Awareness, and Analytical Reasoning. The total marks of the exam is 60 and there is no negative marking.

NMIMS-NPAT (National Test for Programs After Twelth)

It is the official entrance exam for securing admissions to Undergraduate Degree Programs offered by NMIMS after 12th. A total of 120 questions will be asked from English Language, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, and Reasoning & General Intelligence. There exists no negative marking for incorrect answers or unattempted questions.
