Government VS Private B.Sc College

One of the important decisions in the life of a student is to choose the right college after class 12th. The decision is vital it acts as an important factor for the academic and personal growth of a student.

There are various points that come in the mind of a student while choosing a college. One of these is whether to take admission in a government or private college. In order to help students make the wisest decision, we have made a comparison of certain metrics. Check comparison here:

Tuition Fee

The government colleges are funded by the state government and thus the tuition fees in a government college is less as most of its operations are carried out by the fund provided by government college.

Also, the fee is determined by on the basis of quota and reservation.

The tuition fee of a private college is determined by the management of the college. It is a self-funded institute and fees is high as compared to the government college.

As the government college depends on the government funds, they usually lag behind in infrastructure as compared to private colleges. Most private college makes a good investment in modern equipment, restructuring of buildings and quality education.

However, students are advised to visit the campus to check if there are enough facilities and equipment in labs and laboratories or not.

Quality of Education

Both the government and private colleges have highly qualified faculty members and they play the most important role in offering quality education in college.

The government college follows a rigorous process to hire a faculty member based in entrance examination and interviews. Private colleges follow their own criteria to appoint a faculty based on their eligibility.

However, the usage of modern equipment and technology at private colleges enhances the quality of education in a private college.

Government colleges are well recognised by the employers and thus they prefer conducting an interview for students at these institutes.

The placement opportunities in private colleges are good for reputed colleges. The entry-level private institutes have less exposure for placement opportunities. They usually y tie-up with the companies to conduct placement drive.
