National Institutes of Fashion Technology (NIFTs) is one of the most popular institute for design education. Apart from the regular courses in design, NIFT also offers some bridge courses in an online mode which is also known as  NIFT Bridge Programmes. The online NIFT courses were first offered from 2005 to 2014. They were extended for two years and were again offered from 2014 to 2016. NIFT temporarily stopped offering online courses, however, they made a comeback in 2019. 

The online courses offered by NIFT are supplementary programmes that allow former graduates of NIFT to enhance their design Diplomas or Degrees. There are numerous online courses offered by NIFT and there is no upper limit for the seat intake. However, the eligible applicants must be more than 15, or else the course may not be conducted. 

At the end of the programme, the degree will be provided for the year in which the programme was successfully completed by the candidate. How to Apply for Online Courses Offered by NIFT

The application form for NIFT Bridge courses is released online on NIFT CMS. Here are some important pointers on how to apply for online courses offered by NIFT:

• Candidates need to fill up the form, upload a copy of mark sheets and diploma certificate and pay the application fee before the last date. 

• The registration fee for the application form of NIFT online courses needs to be paid by RTGS/ NEFT/ IMPS/ DD and the information regarding the same needs to be submitted in the online form.

• The application fee is Rs. 2,300 for the General/ OBC category candidates and Rs. 1,300 for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates.

• The registration fee is not refundable.

There is no set admission process for pursuing bridge courses from NIFT. Candidates would be shortlisted for admission to NIFT online courses as per the information mentioned on their application form. Applicants must fill the form carefully, completely, and correctly.
