REAP B.Tech Admission 2021 - Centre for Electronic Governance, Rajasthan is responsible for conducting the Centralised Admission Process for Rajasthan B.Tech admissions. Rajasthan Technical University is the authority for supervising the Rajasthan B.Tech online admission process. Rajasthan is one of the popular states in India with a good number of engineering colleges. Over the years, Rajasthan B.Tech colleges have shown impressive performance in campus placements.

The centralised admission process for B.Tech courses in Rajasthan offers flexibility to students so that they can get admission in colleges as per their preference subject to merit. The online counselling process for B.Tech admission in Rajasthan begins in the month of June. About Rajasthan B.Tech Admission 2021

B.Tech admissions in Rajasthan are called as Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP). REAP 2021 is expected to begin in July or August, and students must remember that there is no state-level engineering entrance exam for B.Tech admissions in Rajasthan. The admission authority almost conducts three rounds of REAP followed by a special admission drive. Private engineering colleges and universities in Rajasthan are free to fill a limited number of seats through merit or management quota as per the directions of the admission committee.

Entrance Exams Accepted by Rajasthan Engineering Colleges 2021

Engineering colleges in Rajasthan accept JEE Main (Paper I) score for B.Tech admissions. Any student with a valid JEE Main score can apply for REAP. In addition, students can get admission without JEE Main score through Class 12 merit. However, the first preference is given to applicants with a valid JEE Main score during the online admission process. Therefore, it is advisable for Rajasthan B.Tech aspirants to appear JEE Main score in order to secure admission in colleges as per preference subject to merit. Private engineering colleges in Rajasthan reserve some seats under the management quota, and interested students can secure admission based on Class 12 merit.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Admission in Rajasthan 2021

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech admission in Rajasthan and domicile rules for the same are listed below –

Educational Qualification

  • In order to secure B.Tech admission in Rajasthan, the applicants must have passed Class 12 with at least 45% of marks (40% for reserved categories).
  • The applicants should have studied Class 12 in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Technical Vocational Subject.
  • Only the students will above subject combinations in Class 12 will be considered for Rajasthan B.Tech admission process.

Age Limit

  • B.Tech admissions in Rajasthan have an upper age limit.
  • Candidates who are born on or after October 01, 1995, are eligible for Rajasthan B.Tech admission process in 2021.
  • There is relaxation in upper age limit up to five years for reserved categories.
  • Date of Birth specified in Class 10 certificate or mark sheet will only be considered for the B.Tech admission process in Rajasthan.

Domicile Rules

The domicile rules for Rajasthan B.Tech admissions is as follows –

  • A bonafide resident of Rajasthan is eligible for B.Tech admission process in Rajasthan, and these students are also eligible for communal reservation/ concession seat/ seat under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme. (OR)
  • Students who have studied Class 10, 11 & 12 in Rajasthan are eligible for Rajasthan B.Tech admission. These students are also eligible for communal reservation/ concession seat/ seat under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme. (OR)
  • Children of employees working under Government of Rajasthan can secure B.Tech admission in Rajasthan. (OR)
  • Children of employees of government universities or Board of Secondary Education can secure B.Tech admission in Rajasthan. (OR)
  • Employees working in Engineering colleges across the state for a continuous period of three years can secure B.Tech admission in Rajasthan. (OR)
  • Students from other states can also apply for B.Tech admission in Rajasthan. However, state government reservation policies do not apply to these students.

Students claiming admission under domicile status must submit relevant documents as proof at the time of the admission process.

Admission and Selection Procedure for REAP 2021

Rajasthan B.Tech/ B.E admission process is completely online, and there is no manual or physical procedure involved in the same. The admission procedure for B.Tech admissions in Rajasthan is strictly based on the merit. The stages involved in the admission process are –

REAP Merit List 1 for B.Tech Courses: After the conclusion of the application process for REAP, the admission authority will release REAP Merit List 1. The merit list is prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates in JEE Main. The merit list comprises the name of the candidates, JEE Main Roll Number, JEE Main score and merit number/ rank.

REAP Merit List 2 for B.Tech Courses: Applicants applied for REAP with Class 12 percentile (without JEE Main) will feature in the REAP Merit List 2 for B.Tech courses. The merit list will have the name of the candidate, Class 12 percentage and merit number.

REAP Combined Merit List: Apart from Merit List 1 & 2, the admission authority will release a combined merit list of the candidates as per their JEE Main score, Class 12 merit, caste/ category. The merit list will enable the students to have an idea of their position in the merit.

The B.Tech admission process in Rajasthan is completely based on the combined merit list. All the candidates who feature in the combined merit list will have chances to secure admission in government or private engineering colleges across the state. Choice filled by the candidates in the option entry form is an important aspect of the online admission process. The online software selects the candidates automatically based on merit.

Rajasthan B.Tech Admission Reservation Policy 2021

Through REAP 100% seats in government engineering colleges and 50% seats in private engineering colleges are filled. The admission authority allocates the seats to eligible candidates based on merit and category. The seats among the different categories are distributed as follows –

Rajasthan B.Tech Counselling Process 2021

B.Tech counselling process in Rajasthan is called REAP, and it is conducted in online mode. There is no physical or manual counselling process for B.Tech courses in Rajasthan. The counselling process for B.Tech admissions in Rajasthan involves different stages, which can be checked below –

Payment of Application cum Registration Form Fee: Before filling or submitting the online application form, the candidates must pay the application cum registration fee to take part in REAP. The application fee is Rs. 700, which can be paid in online mode or through the nearest E-Mitra Kiosk.

If candidates are willing to pay the REAP application fee in online mode, they can do the same by using the credit card or debit card or internet banking. Candidates who plan to pay the REAP application fee through E-Mitra Kiosk, the applicants must pay Rs. 750 (application fee) + 50 (service charges). Students applying through E-Kiosk must carry all the relevant documents to be uploaded in the application form.

Candidate’s basic details such as Name, JEE Main Roll Number/ Class 12 Hall Ticket Number, Mobile Number and E-Mail ID are necessary for application fee payment.

Online Application Form Submission for REAP: Candidates applying through E-Mitra Kiosk need not worry, as the central authorities will fill the online applications on behalf of candidates and upload the required documents. Candidates who wish to apply online independently must note that the online application form for REAP will be activated after the application fee payment. The application form can be submitted by following the steps mentioned below –

  • The applicants must visit the official website of REAP to fill the online application cum registration form.
  • Click on the relevant application link on the REAP website.
  • As you have already paid the REAP registration fee, enter the candidate id or application id generate after the fee payment, mobile number and verification code to view the online application form.
  • Instructions will be displayed on the screen, and the candidates are advised to read all the instructions carefully.
  • The filling of application form starts with uploading of documents.
  • The candidates must upload scanned copies of Signature, Passport Size Photograph, JEE Main Rank Card, Class 12 Mark Sheet, and Category Certificate (if applicable).
  • The online application form will be displayed after uploading the documents.
  • The candidates must fill all the details carefully.
  • Submit the details after checking, and it is not possible to edit details after submission.

Online Choice Entry: Online choice entry form will be displayed after submitting details in the application form. The list of engineering colleges (both government and private) will be displayed, and the candidates are free to choose a maximum number of choices to improve admission chances. Submit the option entry details after choosing.

The candidates will receive a confirmation message or mail after the application cum option- entry form submission. Take the printout of online application cum registration form for future reference.

The major stages in REAP conclude with option entry or choice filling. The REAP seat allotment process starts next.

Rajasthan B.Tech Seat Allotment Procedure 2021

REAP will release a merit list for B.Tech courses, and the seats are allotted on the basis of merit. The seat allotment results have been published on the REAP website, and it is the responsibility of the candidates to check the seat allotment results on the scheduled date.

The stages involved in post-seat allotment are explained below –

Checking Seat Allotment Status: Visit the official REAP website to check the seat allotment status. Login details are necessary for checking seat allotment.

Accepting or Upgrading Seat Allotment: Candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotment can accept the seat and proceed for admission. Candidates who want to upgrade the seat can select the option ‘Upgrade’. Seats to candidates who opted for Upgrade will be made in REAP Round 3.

Reporting to College: Candidates who accepted the admission on the REAP website must download the seat allotment letter and report to the college on the specified dates. Deposit the first-year B.Tech course and original certificates along with two sets of xerox copies at the college. The admission will be confirmed only after the payment of the first-year B.Tech fee and submission of original documents.

Documents Required for B.Tech Admission in Rajasthan 2021

Candidates who secured admission through REAP must report to the college with all the following documents (Original and two sets of Xerox) –

  • Seat Allotment Letter
  • Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Acknowledgement Receipt
  • JEE Main Rank Card (only for candidates who applied through JEE Main score)
  • Class 10 Certificate
  • Class 12 Mark Sheet or Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Income Certificate (for economically backward students)
  • Medical Fitness Certificate
  • Category Certificate (applicable to reserved categories)

The classes for the first-year B.Tech courses in Rajasthan engineering colleges begin in August every year.
