Ten Engineering Colleges in Lucknow

Lucknow is Capital city of Uttar Pradesh. It has always been famous for the different types of cultures that exist in this capital city of Uttar Pradesh. As a major metropolis city of this country, Lucknow also houses many engineering colleges, which yield professionals in this elite branch of science. There are many colleges that provide the edification in this field, and presents a brief introduction related to some of the engineering colleges in Lucknow:

1. S.M.S. Institute of Technology

The S.M.S. Institute of Technology came into existence in 1995, the extension in Lucknow was materialized only in 2008. The institute looks after the personality development of the students as well, while they are being groomed as perfect engineers. The institute is affiliated with Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU) and has got approvals AICTE and UGC.

2. Institute of Engineering and Technology

The Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow, was established in 1984 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. This was with an aim of promoting research in the field of technology and this institute gets the financial support from the U.P. Government while the administration herein is looked after by the IET Society (registered under the Societies Act 1860) through its Board of Governors.

3. Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology & Management

The Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology & Management has been approved by the AICTE and is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. Established in 2010 under the aegis of Babu Sunder Singh Foundation. Apart from the provision of summer training, the institute also carries out placement assistance, added with career counseling, and skills training. Some recruiters that frequently throng the campus for placement are

TCS, HCL, Infosys, CMC Ltd., Birlasoft, and Accenture.

4. Board of Technical Education

The ‘State Board of Technical Education and Training’ was established in May 1958; and the first examination was conducted in 1960, for the courses at diploma level, and Draughtsman Certificate Course. In 1962, "U.P. Pravidhic Shiksha Adhiniyam - 1962" was enacted awarding the Board statutory status. Courses like B.Tech. In Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics Engineering are offered here.

5. Ansal Institute of Technology and Management

The Ansal Institute of Technical of Technology and Management was established in 2011 under the aegis of the Sushil Ansal Foundation. This institute is affiliated to the GB Technical University, Lucknow. It is also approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. Basic facilities exemplified by library, hostel, internet, Training & Placement Cell,

Research Publication etc are available in the college.

6. Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology

The CIPET center at Lucknow was established in 1986-87 by Government of India. It got assistance from Government of Uttar Pradesh for supporting the plastics & allied industries in the state. The Plastics Testing Centre of the Institute accredited by NABL, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India for performing Mechanical and Chemical Tests. The Institute has been recognized by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for the Testing and evaluation of plastics materials and products.

7. Integral University

The Integral University was established as Institute of Integral Technology, Lucknow in 1998; and as Integral University, Lucknow, in 2004. It has been approved by the UGC, PCI, MCI, and NCTE. It is a member of AIU, and has been accredited by NAAC. The courses are accredited by the NBA.

8. Asia School of Engineering and Management

The Asia School of Engineering and Management was established in 2009. The institute is affiliated to Gautam Buddha Technical University (GBTU) formally by UPTU, Lucknow; works under the aegis of Society for Advancement in Education; and it has been approved by the AICTE, New Delhi.

9. Uttar Pradesh Technical University

The Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 8th May 2000. This is one of the largest technical universities in India, and also, perhaps in Asia. The UPTU is now located in the I.E.T. Campus, Sitapur Road in Lucknow and offers courses like B.Tech. For eligible candidates.

10. Annie Besant College of Engineering and Management

Established in 2003, the Annie Besant College of Engineering And Management is a private, autonomous college. It is among the most successful colleges that provide higher education in this country. It has been more than twenty years that this college has been motivating the students for attaining the academic potential that they deserve. There are five courses (Full Time) in B.Tech. /B.E. provided here. It is also one of the most successful colleges of higher education in India.
