Maharashtra Direct Second Year Engineering Admission 2024-25: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) will release the registration dates for Maharashtra DSE Admission 2024 tentatively in July. Candidates who wish to apply for Maharashtra direct second year engineering admission 2024 must meet the eligibility criteria stated by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. The candidates should also have their mother tongue as Marathi.

Maharashtra DSE Admission 2024 Reservation Policy

As per the Government of Maharashtra reservation policy, there is a certain seat reservation granted to minority-class candidates. However, the reservation policy is applicable only to reserved candidates who have a domicile in Maharashtra state. Maharashtra DSE Admission 2024 - CAP Counselling

The direct second year engineering admission 2024-25 Maharashtra for BE/BTech courses is done via the Common Admission Process (CAP) Counselling. All the candidates who have their names on the merit list will have to attend the CAP process where the seats will be allotted for DSE admission 2024. The seat allocation will be done based on the merit number allotted to the candidates in the merit list.

The Maharashtra DSE Admission 2024 CAP Counselling will go through various stages. The candidates must attend all the stages of the CAP process for admission. The step-by-step Maharashtra DSE admission process 2024 through CAP is explained below:

Stage 1: Registration & Fee Payment

The candidates will have to register for the Maharashtra DSE Admission 2024 by filling out the application form online. Along with filling out the registration form, the candidates will also have to pay an application fee to complete the registration.

Stage 2: Document Verification

The document verification is done online where the candidates will have to upload the required documents while registering for the CAP process. 

Stage 3: Release of Provisional Merit List, Grievance Submission, and Release of Final Merit List

Further, the admission department will release the provisional merit list for all the qualifying candidates on the official website. The candidates can also submit grievances if there has been some modification in their qualifying exam scores. After checking all the grievances, the DSE admission 2024 final merit list will be released. No changes will be made to the final merit list.

Stage 4: Category Wise Seat Matrix Display for Respective CAP Rounds

In the next step, the admission department will release the category-wise seat matrix before each CAP round. The seat matrix will constitute the courses & seat intake for all the categories of the candidates. The seat matrix will be useful to the candidates for filling out the online option form in the next step.

Stage 5: Online Option Form Filling & Confirmation

The candidates will have to fill out the online option form for the choice of courses & colleges in which they wish to get seats through the Maharashtra direct second year engineering admission 2024. The final seat allotment will be done based on the options filled by the candidates. The candidates can make up to 300 choices. It is also important for the candidates to submit their choices in the order of priority (priority college at 1st position and so on). Before the last date, the candidates must submit their option form or it will be automatically submitted as per the last details filled in.

Stage 6: CAP Rounds

The seats will be allotted as per the options filled through CAP counselling rounds. The seats allocated to the candidates as per the priority will be automatically frozen. Such candidates will have to visit the ARC to accept their seats and they can’t participate in future rounds. 

The candidates who have not been allotted the seat as per their first preference but are still satisfied with the allotment will have to freeze their seats and visit the ARC for seat acceptance.

The candidates who have not been allotted seats as per their first preference and who have accepted the seats at ARC will be allowed to attend further CAP rounds for the betterment of seats.

Stage 7: Release of Provisional Allotment

After the CAP rounds, the provisional seat allotment will be displayed on the official website. The provisional allotment will showcase the institute & course that has been allotted to the candidate for direct second year engineering admission across Maharashtra.

Stage 8: Reporting & Seat Acceptance

The candidates who have been allotted seats will have to visit the ARC and accept their seats. Only after accepting the seats at ARC, the candidates will be reported to the respective institutes for admission.

Stage 9: Reporting to the Institute & Fee Payment

Finally, the candidates will have to report to the institute and pay the required fees to complete DSE admission 2024.

Maharashtra DSE Admission 2024 Merit List

The candidates whose names will be listed in the merit list for Maharashtra direct second year engineering admission 2024-25 shall have to attend the CAP counselling process further.

How is the Merit List Prepared for Maharashtra DSE Admission 2024?

The merit list for Maharashtra DSE Admission 2024 will be prepared based on marks obtained by the candidate in the Diploma or the respective qualifying degree exam. Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in their qualifying exam, each candidate will be provided with a merit number which will be mentioned on the merit list. The admission authority will release a provisional merit list first. If any candidates find an error in the merit list or if the qualifying marks have been modified, the candidates can object. It might be possible that two or more candidates have the same qualifying marks which can lead to the same merit number. To resolve this issue, the admission committee decides the final merit of the candidates through the tie-breaking policy.   • Higher overall percentage in SSC Exam

  • The higher percentage in Maths Exam at SSC Level

  • The higher percentage in the Science Exam at the SSC Level

Thanks for contacting Collegedkeho Q & A portal. I want to inform you that  Sharda University does not offer any Diploma course for mechanical engineering. It only offers two Diploma courses: Diploma in Clinical Medical Practises from Allied Health Science and Pharmacy and a Diploma in Pharmacy from the Pharmacy sector. 

Though University also offers below mentioned courses in the Mechanical Engineering branch. Students who will enrol for the B.Tech course need to pay around 1.9 L per annum.
