IIT Bombay cutoff 2026 will be released soon. The IITB Mumbai cutoff 2026 will be slightly based on the IIT Bombay cutoff 2025. For 2025, IIT Bombay cutoff has been released for BTech, BDes, MSc, and MTech based on JEE Advanced, UCEED, IIT JAM, and GATE scores.

IIT Bombay cut off 2025 for BTech in JEE Advanced was 66-8,343 in round 6 for the General category. IIT Bombay's cutoff for computer science is the toughest one at the 66th rank. For MTech admission, the IIT Bombay GATE cutoff 2025 stands between 325 and 750. MSc ranged from 17 to 3672 in the final round of IIT JAM 2025 cutoffs. 

The CAT cutoff 2025 for the MBA at SJMSOM requires a minimum 90th percentile for General candidates, with actual PI-shortlist scores typically above the 99th percentile. UCEED closing rank for BDes stood at 14 in round 3 for General category candidates.

How Much Rank is Required for IIT Bombay?

• IIT Bombay CSE cutoff: The General category cutoff closes at rank 66 and remains unchanged from Round 1 to Round 6. Category-wise, the closing ranks are 54 for OBC, 31 for SC, and 19 for ST.
• IIT Bombay Aerospace Engineering cutoff: The General category cutoff closes at rank 2361 and stays fairly stable across rounds, ranging from 2305 to 2361.
• IIT Bombay Mechanical cutoff: The General category cutoff closes at rank 1834. For reserved categories, the closing ranks are 946 for OBC, 513 for SC, and 291 for ST.

IIT Bombay JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 has been released category-wise. For the OBC-NCL category, the minimum rank for IIT Bombay computer science was 54, lower than the General category rank of 66. For SC candidates, the IIT Bombay BTech CSE cutoff closed at 31. ST candidates needed a rank of 19 or below for CSE. Applied Geophysics had the most relaxed cutoffs across all categories — SC closed at 2,370 and ST at 1,070 — offering entry at relatively accessible ranks.

IIT Bombay cutoff trends across 2023 to 2025 show a consistent and narrow range for CSE — between 61 (2024), settling at 66 in 2025. Electrical Engineering shows a slight year-on-year fluctuation, driven by shifts in the seat matrix and student preferences. The IIT Bombay GATE cutoff 2025 was officially announced on iitb.ac.in. The highest required GATE score was for the IITB MTech CSE cutoff at 750, for General/EWS candidates. For the OBC category, the Bombay CSE cutoff was 675 in the last rounds. Admission to IIT Bombay's MTech programmes follows the COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) process. Candidates must also register at iitb.ac.in after clearing the GATE qualifying mark.

IIT Bombay GATE Cutoff Year-Wise Trend (General Category)

IIT Bombay's GATE cut off for CSE has remained stable at 750 for the General category from 2023 to 2025. IIT in Bombay cutoff for Earth Sciences (Geoinformatics, Applied Geology) has the lowest GATE cutoff at 350.

IIT Bombay IIT JAM cutoff 2025 was released in 5 admission rounds through the JOAPS portal. IIT Bombay MSc cutoff 2025 requires a rank within the top 17 to 674 for General category candidates across different specialisations for admission. MSc in Applied Geology and MSc in Biotechnology were the most competitive, with the General category closing ranks between 17 and 25 in round 5.

IIT Bombay IIT JAM Year-Wise Cutoff Trends 

IIT Bombay IIT JAM Cutoff trends show very high competition. Applied Geology stays almost the same, with ranks closing between 17 and 18 between 2023 and 2025. Meanwhile, Mathematics becomes more competitive, as its closing rank improves from 52 to 35. IIT Bombay UCEED cutoff 2025 was released across 3 rounds for the BDes programme at the Industrial Design Centre (IDC). The IIT Bombay BDes cutoff 2025 closing rank was 14 for the General category, and for OBC-NCL candidates, the UCEED IIT B cutoff closed at rank 13, and SC candidates at rank 7 in Round 3.

IIT Bombay UCEED Cutoff Year-Wise Trend (General Category)

IIT Bombay B.Des cutoff closing rank moved from 16 in 2023 to 14 in 2024, and it stayed at 14 in 2025 for the General Category, showing very high competition and strong consistency. So, the candidate must secure a UCEED All India Rank (AIR) within the top 15 for IIT Bombay admission.

IIT Bombay MBA cutoff 2025 for the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM) is set in two tiers. The minimum qualifying IIT Bombay CAT cutoff 2025 is 90 percentile for General/EWS candidates — but reaching that threshold alone doesn't guarantee a PI call. In practice, PI shortlists go to candidates with 99+ percentile overall in the General category.

Female candidates and those with non-engineering backgrounds may receive PI calls at slightly lower CAT percentiles due to diversity considerations. IIT Bombay cutoff each year is determined by a set of interconnected factors — understanding them helps you gauge how 2026 cutoffs might move:

• Number of JEE Advanced qualifiers: More qualifiers increase competition for top IITs, tightening cutoffs for in-demand branches like CSE and Electrical Engineering.
• Difficulty of JEE Advanced: An easier paper results in higher average scores, which can push closing ranks lower (i.e., more competition). A tougher paper may relax cutoffs slightly.
• Seat matrix: IIT Bombay's total BTech seat count and per-branch distribution directly sets how far the closing rank can stretch. Any seat additions in a branch lower the cutoff.

The CSE cutoff 2025 at IIT Bombay closes at 66, EE at 433, and Aerospace at 2361 in the Round 6 General category. IIT Delhi stays competitive with Mechanical at 1862 and Mathematics at 323. The IIT Delhi CSE cutoff was closed at 126. Meanwhile, IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur hold strong middle positions. IIT Madras closes CSE at 171, and IIT Kanpur closes CSE at 271.
