MICAT had two sections:
 
Section 1: 35 minutes

The first section of MICAT has four subjective-type questions, related to:

  • Divergent Thinking Abilities & Creativity Potential
  • The Questions will comprise of writing argument, story and essay writing
  • There is no negative marking

Section 2: 90 minutes

Psychometric Test

  • This section is compulsory and tests the candidate’s aptitude and personality
  • This section has 30 questions
  • There is a no negative marking

Reasoning and Verbal Ability

  • This section has 35 questions in the following type:
  1. Visual Reasoning
  2. Data Sufficiency
  3. Statement-Conclusion
  4. Word Combination
  • There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer

General Knowledge

  • 25 questions on General Knowledge and Current Affairs related to Advertising, Marketing, Films and Media  
  • This section also has negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer
