B. Arch admission in the state of Andhra Pradesh is overlooked by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and it is expected that the application process for Andhra Pradesh B.Arch admission is going to commence from the first week of October 2020. All the vacant seats in the B.Arch offering institutions in Andhra Pradesh will be filled through the admission process, the details for which has been provided below.

Andhra Pradesh B.Arch aspirants must be aware of the fact that no entrance exam is conducted for admission into the B.Arch programme in AP. Admissions are done based on JEE Main scores and NATA scores. Based on the applicants’ performance in these two exams, APSCHE releases a list by the name of State Architecture Rank (SAR) based on which seat allocation is done.

The eligibility criteria for B.Arch admissions at Andhra Pradesh has been provided in details below -

Nationality Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch Admissions in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh B.Arch aspirants should be a permanent citizen of India.

Age Criteria for B.Arch Admissions in Andhra Pradesh

There are no minimum or maximum age limit criteria to be eligible for B.Arch admission in Andhra Pradesh.

Academic Criteria for B.Arch Admissions in Andhra Pradesh

The applicants must have cleared their 10+2 qualifying examination from a recognized Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates). Also, the applicants should have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the qualifying examination.

Admission Criteria for B.Arch Admissions in Andhra Pradesh

To be eligible for admission into the 5-year B.Arch programme offered at Andhra Pradesh colleges, the candidates must have secured a valid rank in either of the JEE Main or NATA examination.

Andhra Pradesh B.Arch Admission Application Form 2020

To apply for B.Arch admission in Andhra Pradesh, the applicants have to apply through an online application form which is released on the official website of APSCHE. As the 2020 Andhra Pradesh B.Arch application forms are expected to be released in the first week of July, the aspirants must detailed knowledge regarding the application process for B.Arch admission at Andhra Pradesh. The entire application process has been discussed in a step by step manner below -

Step 1 - Registration

In this step, the applicants have to click on the direct link - (To be provided soon) and register themselves for B.Arch admissions in Andhra Pradesh. In this step, the applicants have to provide details such as -

  • Name

  • Parents’/Guardians’ name

  • Date of birth

  • Gender

  • Qualifying exam roll number

  • Contact details (mobile number, email address etc)

In addition to the details mentioned above, the applicants also have to inform the officials regarding which exam (JEE Main or NATA) they are applying for B.Arch admission in Andhra Pradesh in the registration step.

Once all the details are filled, the applicants have to click on the “Register” button and initiate the second step of B.Arch admission at Andhra Pradesh.

Step 2 - Uploading of Important Documents

In this step, the applicants have to furnish all their important documents like qualifying exam scorecard, entrance exam scorecard to the officials along with their latest scanned copies of photograph and signature. After doing the requisites, the applicants have to click on the “Upload & Continue” to proceed to the next step of Andhra Pradesh B.Arch admissions.

Step 3 - Fill out the Application Form

In this step, the applicants will be asked to provide some additional personal information like marks secured in the qualifying examinations, minority status, communication address etc. After providing the required information, the applicants have to click on the “Save & Continue” button to move to the last step of the application process.

Step 4 - Payment of Application Fee

In this step, the applicants will be asked to deposit the application fee amount to successfully apply for B.Arch admissions at Andhra Pradesh colleges offering B.Arch.

Documents Verification Process

Once the candidates successfully apply for B.Arch admission in Andhra Pradesh with the submission of application fee, they will be allocated a verification centre where they have to go to get their documents verified on the mentioned schedule. The candidates must carry the following documents to their respective verification centres -

  • Andhra Pradesh B.Arch admission application form (submitted version)

  • Receipt of application fee

  • Hall ticket/admit card of JEE Main or NATA

  • JEE Main or NATA scorecard

  • Qualifying exam certificates

  • Date of birth certificate (class Xth certificate can also be brought)

  • Certificate of residence (if applicable)

  • Migration certificate

  • Transfer certificate

  • Certificate of category issued by a competent authority (if applicable)

  • PwD category certificate issued by a competent authority

  • Extracurricular activities certificate (for those who are applying under the ECA quota)

  • Ward of defence personnel certificate issued by the District Sainik Board (if applicable)

Andhra Pradesh B.Arch Admission 2020 Merit List

Based on the performance of the applicants in their previous qualifying examinations and Architecture entrance exams like NATA or JEE Main, the APSCHE officials will prepare a merit list and based on the merit list, the allocation of seats will be done in various B.Arch offering colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates will find the mention of the following details on the merit list -

  • Name of the candidates

  • Date of birth details of the candidates

  • Marks secured by the candidates in their respective qualifying examinations

  • JEE Main/NATA scores (normalised scores)

  • State Architecture Rank (SAR)

Andhra Pradesh B.Arch Admission 2020 Counselling Process

The counselling process is conducted by the APSCHE officials for allocation of seats to the suitable candidates in various institutions offering B.Arch admissions in Andhra Pradesh. The counselling process for B.Arch admission at Andhra Pradesh can be broadly categorised into two stages -

  1. Filling up of Choices - In this step, the candidates have to use their candidate credentials to log in to the counselling portal and provide their choices of institutes or colleges. After choosing their preferred architecture colleges in Andhra Pradesh, the candidates have to lock their choices and save them within the time allocated to them.

  2. Seat Allotment Result - In this step, the candidates will be notified if they have been allocated seats in their desired institution or not via the official website. Along with it, the candidates will also find the seat allotment letter which they have to download and report at the allocated institute on the date and time mentioned on the allocation letter. Confirmation of admission at the allocated Andhra Pradesh college offering B.Arch and submission of the admission fee will be done by the candidates in the college itself. If the candidates fail to confirm their admission within the stipulated period, them the seat allocated to the candidates will be confiscated by the authorities.

Spot Counselling Round for 2020 B.Arch Admission at Andhra Pradesh

A spot counselling round is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) to allocate those seats which remain vacant after the conclusion of the final counselling round. All those candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria for B.Arch admission in Andhra Pradesh colleges are eligible for the spot counselling round.
