Karnataka B.Arch Admissions 2022

Karnataka BArch Admission 2023: Karnataka B.Arch counselling 2023 round 2 is expected to begin on August 24, 2023 on the KEA's official website. Candidates who pass the NATA 2023 exam are eligible for the KCET 2023 counselling session. Applicants who were not assigned seats in round 1 counselling of KCET 2023 will be able to participate in round 2 of KCET counselling 2023. Candidates will be assigned seats at KCET participating colleges through the KCET 2023 counselling and seat allotment process.

Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka B.Arch Admission 2023

Reserved category students can apply with a minimum overall aggregate of 45% and in PCM subjects combined

Registration of Applicants

The candidates have to visit the official website of Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Scanned Images Uploading 

The candidates have to upload the scanned versions of their signature and recent photograph as per specifications provided in the application form itself. The candidates must ensure that the photographs uploaded are clear.

Payment of Online Application Form Fee

The candidates, after submitting all their basic personal details, have to deposit the application form fee through any of the available online payment methods.

Karnataka B.Arch Admission 2023 Rank/Merit List

By considering the marks secured by the applicants in either JEE Main (Paper-II) or NATA examination, the KEA officials prepare a merit list or rank list. The Karnataka B.Arch admission rank/merit list is also known as the KCET merit list. The merit/rank list is released on the official website of the Karnataka Examinations Authority. The candidates can access the merit list by logging in to the KEA student portal using their candidate credentials. Those candidates who successfully make it up to the Karnataka B.Arch admission merit list, those candidates are called to take part in the KCET counselling process. The candidates must note that the merit list released by the KEA officials is final and no requests regarding revaluation of the merit list are entertained by the KEA officials.

Karnataka B.Arch Admission Counselling Process 2023

The admission process of the B.Arch aspirants of the Karnataka state goes through the KCET counselling process rounds. Candidates who are shortlisted based on the merit list/rank list participate in the KCET Counselling Process 2023 and after that, they are allocated seats in various B.Arch colleges in Karnataka state. Step 1

Registration and Verification of Documents

Shortlisted candidates based on the merit list have to first register for the KCET counselling process. After registering, they have to produce all their important documents and certificates for verification purposes to the KEA officials. This year, the document verification process is being conducted in an online mode unlike the previous year where the candidates had to visit the designated helpline centres for getting their documents verified

Step 2

Choice Filling and Choice Locking

After the successful verification of documents is over, the candidates have to log in to the KEA student’s portal again and provide college choices online. The candidates must make sure that they thoroughly go through the seat matrix of each B.Arch offering college in Karnataka before providing their college choices. The candidates have to provide the college choices in decreasing order of preference which they can alter before the last date to submit the final college choices. After the submission of the final college choices, the candidates have to exercise their “College Choice Locking” right to submit their final college choices

Step 3

Seat Allotment 

The candidates will be allocated seats as per their preference and availability of seats in the B.Arch colleges of Karnataka. The detailed seat allocation process is provided in the following section. 

Documents required for KCET 2023 Counselling

Candidates must arrive at the KCET 2023 counselling centres with the necessary documentation. They must bring the required documents in original form as well as two sets of photocopies. All documents will be reviewed by the appropriate authority. If all of the documents are confirmed to be correct, the candidate will be given a slip with a unique id and password. The following documents are required for documents required for KCET counselling:

  • KCET application form copy
  • KCET admit card copy
  • Application fee payment proof
  • Certificate and mark sheet of Class 10/SSLC
    Mark sheet and certificate of Class 12/2nd PUC
  • 7 years of studies certificate countersigned by the relevant BEO / DDPI
    A recent passport photograph (two copies)
  • Caste certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Rural study certificate
  • Certificate of Kannada Medium (Candidates who have studied in Kannada Medium from Class 1 to 10 in Karnataka and also outside the state of Karnataka)
  • Identity card issued by the Jurisdictional District Magistrate / Deputy Commissioner / Rehabilitation Commissioner, for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Jammu & Kashmiri Migrants quota
  • Parent's study certificate / Parent's Hometown certificate / Parent's Domicile certificate / Parent's Employment certificate / Parent's Cumulative Record / Parent's Marks Card, etc., for candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on parent's domicile / study / employment

Important Instructions regarding KCET Document Verification 2023

Candidates going for the KCET 2023 document verification, should keep in mind the following instructions. 

  • The document verification will be done in order of rank, with a time slot allotted to each rank range. Candidates should first examine the rank-based document verification dates and time slots
  • It is critical to arrive at the helpline centre at least 30 minutes before your designated time slot
  • For certificate verification, KEA has established 29 nodal centers/helpline centres. The candidate can go to any of the nearby helpline centres on the stated date and time frame for their rank
  • Only candidates seeking for admission with a valid KCET rank are permitted to attend the certificate verification, and no one may represent candidates.
  • KEA will disclose the list of candidates eligible for the KCET 2023 counselling procedure, including KCET Option Entry and seat assignment, at the end of each day following document verification.

Karnataka B.Arch Admission 2023 Seat Allotment Process

The KEA officials conduct a “Mock Seat Allotment” round first in order to give the candidates a fair idea regarding the KCET seat allotment process. Each and everything that the candidates are asked to do during the mock seat allotment process resembles what the candidates are supposed to do during the original seat allotment process. After the conclusion of the mock seat allotment process, the candidates are given one more opportunity to change their preferences for college choices. Usually, there are two rounds of the KCET 2023 seat allotment process in addition to an extended second round of the seat allotment process. Once the candidates are allocated seats, they can either confirm their admission to the allocated seats by completing the admission formalities or opt for better seats. The candidates can also completely withdraw themselves from the Karnataka B.Arch admission seat allotment process.
