The Consortium of the NLUs has declared the CLAT 2025 seats for the SC category on the official websites of the National Law Universities. The students who have appeared for this year’s CLAT will get their allotment during the counselling process. You can all visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in to check the seat matrix at all NLUs. The Consortium of the NLUs conducted the CLAT entrance exam to admit candidates to the BA LLB, B.Com LLB, B.Sc LLB, BBA LLB, and LLM courses at the NLUs. The number of seats offered by the law schools varies. The seat intake differs based on the category of the candidates: General, SC, ST, OBC and EWS. The students who passed CLAT 2025 with a good score are participating in the CLAT counselling process will see their names on the CLAT 2025 seat allotment list. A total of 26 NLUs have participated in CLAT 2025.
Those aspirants whose names will appear on the category-wise provisional list that is being released round-wise will become eligible to participate in the CLAT 2025 counselling process . CLAT Seat Allotment 2025
Once the CLAT 2025 seat allotment list is released, the candidates will get 3 options. They can either accept the allotted seats, request an upgrade for a seat or withdraw from the seat allotment process. To get more information on the CLAT seat allotment process, read the below options:
Freeze Option: Candidates who will be allotted seats during the CLAT seat allotment round can choose the "Freeze" option if they are happy with their assigned seats. Selecting this option during the counselling process means confirming their acceptance of the seat in the allotted National Law University (NLU). This choice indicates that they have finalised their seat allotment and do not wish to appear for subsequent rounds of CLAT 2025 counselling.
Float Option: Law aspirants who are not satisfied with their allocated seats can opt for the "Float" alternative, which means they want to participate in the next rounds of the counselling process. By selecting this choice, aspirants possess the flexibility to choose seats in any of the National Law Universities (NLUs) where they have been allotted seats and also maintain the possibility of an upgrade. Those who will utilise this option will be required to fulfil the fee payment for the allocated NLU.
Exit Option: The law students who are dissatisfied with their allocated seats can choose to “Exit” the CLAT seat allotment round. Opting for the exit alternative signifies that candidates are declining the allotted seat and will not be considered for further rounds of the CLAT 2025 counselling process.
