GATE 2022 EEE Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

In order to score well in the GATE exam, it is advisable for the candidates to know about the complete exam pattern and marking scheme for the test. This will help the students formulate what types of questions will be asked in the exam and how will the marks be distributed.

Given below is the complete exam pattern and marking scheme for GATE 2022 Electronics & Electrical Engineering:

General Aptitude Section

The General Aptitude section will be compulsory for all the candidates. There will be a total of 10 questions in GA sections. The first 5 questions will consist of 1 mark each and the remaining 5 questions will carry 2 marks each.

Marking Scheme

The MCQ will be of 1 and 2 marks. For 1 mark questions, 1/3rd marks will be deducted and for 2 marks questions, 2/3rd marks will be deducted for incorrect answer. There will be no negative marking for numerical based questions.
