How to Add a Second Paper in GATE 2026 Application Form?

You can add GATE second paper in online mode at the time of application form correction/ editing. We have provided the step-by-step instructions to add a second paper in the GATE application form 2026.

• Firstly, you will have to log in to the GOAPS portal at gate2026.iitg.ac.in using your enrollment ID and password.

• Secondly, you will have to go to the section related to GATE application status. You will find the ‘Edit paper’ or ‘Add paper’ option on the page.

• Now, from the given list of two-paper combinations, you must select your preferred secondary subject paper.

• Next, you must pay the additional fee amount for selecting a second paper in GATE.

• Finally, you will need to submit the revised GATE 2026 application form. We advise that you save a copy of the transaction receipt for future reference.

• Additional charges as mentioned above will be applicable for adding a second paper in GATE 2026.

• The exam centre for the GATE second paper may not be the same as allotted for  the first paper. So, you will need to make travel arrangements accordingly.
