Is INI CET only for AIIMS: AIIMS Delhi conducts INI CET to grant admission in several PG medical courses offered by various AIIMS colleges in India. However, it is a misconception that the INI CET exam is limited to AIIMS colleges only. Colleges like JIPMER, Puducherry, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, PGIMER, Chandigarh, SCTIMST Trivandrum etc. also accept INI CET scores for medical PG admissions.

Admission Process at Colleges Accepting INI CET Expect AIIMS

As per the data, there are only 17 Medical colleges that accept INI CET scores, amongst them around 15 are government and 2 are private colleges. Various Medical colleges offer admission through the INI CET scores. The admissions into INI CET colleges are based on INI CET scores followed by a Group Discussion/ Personal Interview round.
For admissions, students are shortlisted based on their scores obtained in the INI CET scores. Qualified students need to participate in the counselling process. Thereafter, they are invited for document verification and can have to undergo personal interviews. To apply for INI CET, the students must hold an MBBS, BDS, or equivalent degree from a reputable institution, as determined by MCI or DCI.
