KCET 2025 Exam Date: KCET 2025 Results will be released on May 19, 2025. Karnataka Examinations Authority released the KCET 2025 preliminary answer key on April 29, 2025, followed by the final answer key on May 10, 2025. The KCET 2025 exam was conducted on April 16 and 17, 2025, for English and April 15, 2025, for Kannada language, as a pen and paper-based test. The application form of KCET 2025 was released on January 23, 2025, in online mode by KEA. KCET 2025 admit card has been released on April 6, 2025. Candidates who are willing to appear for the KCET 2025 exam must check this article to know about the KCET 2025 exam dates.

Can candidates appear for the KCET exam without Biology?

Yes. It is not mandatory to attempt the Biology section in KCET if candidates want to pursue Engineering. Biology marks are only considered for Medical, Dental and Paramedical fields.

Is KCET easier than the JEE Main exam?

The identical chapters and subjects from Classes 11 and 12 are covered by the questions in both KCET and JEE Main. However, in comparison to KCET, the questions in JEE Main are more difficult.

Is NCERT enough for the KCET preparation?

NCERT books are a good source for candidates to start if they want to prepare for the KCET 2025 exam. Upon finishing the NCERT books, candidates can proceed to the important KCET books available in the market.

Can candidates join engineering without KCET 2025?

Yes. Another state-level entrance exam namely COMEDK UGET is conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. Candidates who appear in the COMEDK UGET exam and secure a valid score do not mandatorily need to appear for the KCET exam to get admission into the engineering colleges of Karnataka.

How many attempts are there for the KCET exam?

There is no specified attempt limit for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). Candidates are permitted to appear for the KCET exam any number of times without facing any restrictions on the total attempts.

Who is eligible for the KCET 2025 exam?

General candidates must have scored 45% aggregate whereas reserved categories i.e. Category-I, OBC, and ST/SC should have secured 40% in the qualifying exam to apply for KCET 2025.

To be eligible for IIIT Hyderabad’s Undergraduate Entrance Examination (UGEE) in 2025, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects. Additionally, candidates are required to have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in PCM.
