SAAT 2021 Law - Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus and Admission Process

Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University conducts SAAT exam for admission to various UG and PG courses such as Pharmacy, Law, Management, Engineering, Nursing, and Hotel Management. The eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and syllabus differ for all the courses. SAAT Phase 2 will be conducted in July and the last date to fill the application form for SAAT 2021 is June 30. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and it is conducted in both online as well as offline modes in different slots. The following article will consist of all the details for SAAT 2021 Law admission such as dates, application form, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, admission process, and others. SAAT 2021 Law Eligibility Criteria 

SAAT 2021 law eligibility criteria differ for the UG, integrated law, and PG law courses. The eligibility for the various courses is listed below 

 Eligibility Criteria for LLB

  • Candidates should have passed or appearing for +3 or its equivalent in any stream with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For SC/ ST candidates, reservation is 40% and for OBC candidates, it is 42%.
  • No upper age limit 

Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB/ BBA LLB

  • Passed or appearing for 10+2 or its equivalent in any stream with a minimum of 45%. 
  • For SC/ ST candidates, reservation is 40% and for OBC candidates, it is 42%.
  • No upper age limit
  • Those who qualified for LSAT/CLAT are exempt from the entrance exam but need to fill up the application form

Eligibility Criteria for LLM

  • Passed or appearing for a Bachelor degree in law in 2021 or studied integrated law or its equivalent from any recognised university
  • LSAT/ CLAT qualified candidates are exempt from the entrance exam but need to fill up the application form

SAAT 2021 Law Syllabus

SAAT 2021 Law syllabus comprises the following

  • Comprehensions and other related questions pertaining to the English language
  • Basic Mathematics and numerical questions
  • General Knowledge, Current Affairs 
  • Sound Legal Knowledge and Awareness
  • Logical Reasoning questions 

SAAT 2021 Law Admission Process

The admission process for SAAT 2021 Law is explained below

  • After the candidates appear for the SAAT 2021 Law exam, a separate merit list will be released for all the qualifying candidates 
  • Merit lists will also be released for the candidates qualifying under each reserved category. Each qualified candidate will get a rank card
  • Online/ Offline counselling will be done on the basis of the merit and candidate's preference. The detailed process and counselling schedule will be announced once the ranks are published
  • At the time of final admission, all the certificates will be verified and 2 sets of attested copies of the certificates and mark sheets will be collected from the candidates
  • Once a candidate has been selected through SAAT 2021 counseling for a course, he/ she is admitted and registered as a student of SOA Deemed to be University automatically.
