The 5th annual techno-legal management fest of UPES, The three halls of this techno fest was filled with a modern creation of the day and was an excellent representation of the innovative spirit of the progressive era. The event pulled attraction of more than 2500 participants from both inter and intra colleges, with more than 100 events distributed among the three constituent colleges i.e. college of engineering, college of legal studies, college of management and economic studies. Ignite 2016 exposed hidden talent of young minds and brought originality of students.
The honorable chief guest Mr.R.S.Meena emphasized that students aim big and achieve it with extremely with hard work and will. Thus, when UPES host a fest, they make sure to give it an intriguing theme to keep it all co-related and purposeful this year. They took cues from our own country and join in the overwhelming wave of "MAKE IN INDIA" that our prime minister Sh.Narendra Modi enthusiastically started. Two great leaders, one vision, to create a country that is at a share in all aspects of the "FOREIGN".
Now UPES takes pride in calling themselves "THE NATION BUILDERS UNIVERSITY", and with an opportunity so lucrative, how could they not jump in? so this year the fest so novel in its essence that young minds found themselves swirling in a whirlpool of fun, learning, and knowledge. In the year, 2015 IGNITE was amalgamated with the nationwide organizations. Over 100 events, IGNITE 2016 witnessed the best of the brains from all domains who came together on a common platform and exhibited unmatches talent.
For a district, Uttarakhand mapped with IGNITE theme events based on survival of fittest, hackathon Robo war, RC a viola, Rocco soccer, water warriors, Robo pinball, automobile design skills and many more will be conducted which will strengthen the youth towards technology. These events proved that young minds of India are no less than the ingenious brains of a world and soon in a couple of years we will excel in the realms of the world. The two days fest gave a chance to the students to work beyond their classroom boundaries.
Some of the renounced colleges this year at IGNITE were Symbiosis law school Pune, Delhi University, School of law, Sastra University, Amity Law School Delhi and Lucknow, Government law College of law-Panjim etc.
Apart from this competitive and tough event, a cultural night was also organised which relieved everyone from the day competitions and hard work and brought out some amazingly talented dancers and singers of UPES. The team xeleratio, who is the official dance group of UPES and VULTUS another dance group of UPES performed and left the atmosphere with a sound of claps and the air full of energy. They were also a part of this colourful evening. The overall event was under the students with a great support of faculties.
