New Addition to GATE 2026 from IIT Guwahati

For the upcoming year, the IIT Guwahati has introduced a new sectional paper under the Engineering Sciences (XE) paper. The latest addition is the Energy Science (XE-I ) paper. The paper will focus mainly on core engineering science subjects such as fluid mechanics, materials science, solid mechanics, thermodynamics, polymer science and engineering, food technology, and atmospheric and oceanic sciences. Since the paper will be conducted for the first time, it is expected to have an overall easy to moderate difficulty level.
