Does BAMS have Better Scope than MBBS?

Every year thousands of students apply to pursue medicine as a career. Individuals aim to create a bright future for themselves as doctors or wish to start their own Ayurvedic practice. In any case, aspirants often face the dilemma of whether to opt for an MBBS degree or BAMS course.

Before navigating to any course, NEET is the common entrance exam that candidates must mandatorily pass. It is held every year by the NTA. The competition level is tough as lakhs of students apply for this medical entrance exam.

Once aspirants clear the test, they can either choose MBBS to practice medicine in the future or opt for BAMS and learn the art of using ancient herbs for healing. One of the biggest factors that affect the decision-making between MBBS and BAMS is scope. Candidates wish for a brighter future and want to charter a path that will yield the best results.

Is BAMS better than MBBS?

BAMS and MBBS hold equal importance in their respective fields. It’s up to aspirants which path they want to charter.

While MBBS graduates get promising jobs, they still have to put in 12-14 hours daily in their work, more in the case of personal clinics. BAMS graduates can earn a good salary with a lesser number of working hours.

In terms of societal contribution, BAMS and MBBS graduates equally help in treating ailments and uplifting the community’s overall health.

So, in the end, it all depends on students and their ambitions. Whichever path they set their eyes on, they will achieve success and job satisfaction.
