IIT Roorkee has announced the GATE ES qualifying marks for all the categories. The GATE Environmental Science and Engineering qualifying cutoff varies from 26.1 for General, 23.4 for OBC-NCL/ EWS & 17.4 for SC/ ST. The GATE ES cutoff is the marks that you need to score to pass the exam.

GATE 2025 ES Qualifying Cutoff Marks: The GATE 2025 qualifying marks for Environmental Science have been announced by the official authority. The qualifying cutoff marks determine the minimum marks that you require to secure in order to qualify the exam. The GATE ES cutoff marks range from 26.1 for General, 23.4 for OBC-NCL/ EWS & 17.4 for SC/ ST. Moreover, as per the data released, a total of 9073 students registered for the exam, out of which 6631 students appeared for the test. The GATE cutoff 2025 is determined based on several factors such as the total number of participants in the GATE 2025 exam , the number of seats in the GATE 2025 participating colleges , and the difficulty level of the exam. The previous years’ cutoff scores also affect the GATE 2025 ES qualifying cutoff marks. As per the data from the past few years, on average, around 6,000-7,000 students appear for the GATE ES exam. For the GATE 2024 ES exam, around 6,445 students appeared, and 1,514 qualified with the minimum GATE cutoff scores. Last year, the GATE Environmental Science and Engineering paper saw a spike in the GATE cutoff scores from the previous two years. In most Indian states, just having a BTech degree is not enough to appear for TET or DSC. You usually need a proper teaching course like B.Ed or D.El.Ed along with it.

This isn’t about how “big” or “small” your degree is. It’s about teacher training. A BTech gives you technical knowledge, but it does not train you to teach students in a classroom. That’s why, even if BTech is a higher degree, it is not considered a teaching qualification.
