The list of GATE 2020 Participating Colleges is available here for all those who are going to take the entrance examination. The final and updated list of participating colleges for GATE 2020 will be released by IIT Delhi, which is the conducting body for the exam. In order to become eligible for admission in any of the participating colleges of GATE 2020, candidates will be required to qualify the GATE 2020 examination, score the required cut-off marks of the institute/ college where they have applied and met their eligibility criteria as well.
After the announcement of the GATE 2020 Result and GATE 2020 Cut-off list, a separate counselling is conducted for GATE participating colleges. However, for admission in NITs and some IIITs, a centralised counselling is held– CCMT (Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/M.Plan). The GATE score is also used by some PSUs to recruit candidates for various posts. Admission in the participating institutions is based on these above-mentioned parameters.
The steps mentioned below will assist the candidates in their pursuit to provide college choices during form filling:
Visit the official website of GATE i.e. gate.iitm.ac.in
After logging onto the official website, candidates can select the desired colleges and courses.
The next step is to check the cut-offs of the desired participating colleges.
Candidates can also select more than one college/institute as per their preference in the application form.
Candidates must lock their selected choices by clicking on the ‘Submit’ tab. Also, they must cross-check the form twice before clicking on the 'Submit' button.
Below are some important points that candidates should know about the participating colleges/institutes of GATE 2020.
Before selecting the participating institutes/colleges, candidates must check the previous year cut-off of the college where they wish to apply.
After the announcement of GATE result, the participating institute release its own cut-off.
While selecting a college, candidates must do a little bit of research about the college such as its cut-off, eligibility criteria, year of establishment and number of batches passed.
The selection of candidates for admission in the shortlisted college/institute will be solely based on the marks obtained by the candidates.
