GATE 2023 counselling process will be conducted to provide admissions to those candidates who cleared the GATE 2023 entrance exam with the minimum qualifying marks. However, the exam authority does not conduct the counselling process of GATE. For IITs, a Centralized Online Admission Process (COAP) is conducted for admission in M.Tech and PSU recruitment. On the other hand, the online admission process for NIT, IIIT and GFTI is called Centralized Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT). You can check the details regarding CCMT and COAP by clicking on the links below.
The GATE 2023 result will be released on March 16, 2023.

The counselling process for GATE 2023 will differ as per the type of Institute selected by the candidates. For example, to secure a spot in any of the IITs via the GATE counselling process, the candidates have to register themselves for the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) and based on the GATE scores, admission to eligible candidates will be offered. However, for admission into Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and National Institute of Technology (NITs), the candidates have to register themselves, first, for Centralized Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT). There will be several other state and private Institutes all across the country that will conduct their own counselling process based on the scores obtained by the candidates in GATE.
