The Centralised Counselling for M.Arch/M.Des/M.Plan/M. Tech has kicked off from 8th April 2019 on the basis of GATE 2019 score or CCMT 2019 for admission into various National Higher Educational Institutes in India. The GATE 2019 qualified candidates can now apply for the Centralised Counselling 2019 through the official website, i.e-ccmt.nic.in. CCMT 2019 is a single window application process through which the eligible candidates can apply for various programmes in the GATE 2019 participating institutes. All those candidates who have cleared GATE between 2017 and 2019 and have scored more than or equivalent to 60% in their qualifying examination will be eligible to apply for CCMT 2019.
The candidates will be required to follow the given steps to register for GATE 2019 Counselling process.
Steps to Register for GATE 2019 Counselling
Step 1: Click on the GATE 2019 Counselling link available below.
Step 2: The candidates will be redirected to the CCMT 2019 official website.
Step 3: The candidates have to click on the ‘CCMT 2019: Online registration, Fee payment and Choice filling’ link in the Current Events section.
Step 4: For logging in, the candidates have to enter their GATE registration Id.
Step 5: The candidates then must fill all the text boxes with relevant details such as basic information, Institutes and courses.
Step 6: The candidates have to pay the registration fee online for completion of CCMT 2019 registration.
GATE 2019 Counselling Process is being organised by NIT Rourkela, Odisha. The centralised counselling procedure is being conducted for admissions into M.Tech Post Graduate Programme in National Higher Educational Institutes in India. There are various GATE 2019 participating institutes that organise their own separate counselling procedures.
Candidates who wish to apply for M.Tech programmes into IITs, NITs, GFITs, and CFTIs will have to apply through CCMT (short for Centralized Counselling for M.Tech) and those who wish to apply for M.Tech programmes in IITs, they will have to apply through COAP (short for Common Offer Acceptance Portal). State and private universities will also have their own counselling process based on GATE scores.
The registration for GATE 2019 counselling process through CCMT was started on 8th April 2019. Candidates having a valid GATE 2017/2018/2019 scorecard are eligible to apply for GATE 2019 Counselling process which will be held in three rounds through online mode.

GATE 2019 counselling will depend on GATE 2019 scores of the candidates.
In the counselling process, candidates will have to verify their documents.
There will not be any common GATE counselling for the qualified candidates of the exam.
Candidates qualifying the GATE cut-off will be eligible for GATE 2019 counselling.
For counselling, candidates will have to fill the GATE 2019 registration form, along with the counselling fees.
Admission into IITs and IISC Bangalore is done on the basis of GATE 2019 scores.
Prior to the announcement of the GATE result, IISc Bangalore will release the application form in the month of February 2019. The admission procedure will be conducted on the basis of GATE 2019 scores. The choices of colleges and programmes have to submitted by the applicants while filling the application form. Applicants must meet all eligibility criteria before applying.
For M.Tech programmes in IITs, the candidates will have to register through the COAP (short for Common Offer Acceptance Portal), which is a common platform for the candidates to apply for their preferred IITs. The registrations process of COAP will start after the announcement of GATE 2019 result. Candidates seeking M.Tech admissions in any of the participating Institutes of COAP and who have a valid GATE score (2019 and/or 2017 and/or 2016) can register at COAP.
Post announcement of GATE 2019 result, state universities and other private institutes will be organised theGATE counselling procedure for admission to M.Tech programmes tentatively from the month of March to July 2019. The separate application forms will have to be filled by the candidates according to the institute they are applying for. The selection process will depend upon the institutes individually.
The application form of CCMT will be available tentatively from the first week of April 2018. Candidates can apply for all the 30 NITs and 9 CFTIs through GATE CCMT Counselling. Filling of programme and institute choices have to be done by the candidates after which allotment will be done according to the candidates’ rank in GATE exam and preferences selected during CCMT registration.
Detailed GATE Counselling Process 2019 through CCMT
To participate in the GATE counselling process, candidates will have to register themselves with CCMT. The admission into various post-graduate courses will depend on GATE score.
Stage 1: Registration
GATE registration is the first step in the counselling process. To take part in the counselling rounds, all the qualified candidates will have to first register themselves, failing which he/she will not be allowed to participate in the GATE 2019 counselling procedure. After registering, candidates will have to fill their correct details to proceed further.
Stage 2: Choice Filling and Locking
After successful registration, the next step that follows is choice filling and locking. Here, candidates will have to make the choices regarding the courses. It is advisable for the candidates, to fill the most preferred choice on the top. After filling the choices, candidates will have to lock their choices by using the choice locking option.
Note: No modifications shall be made in the choices after locking the same.
Stage 3: Seat Allotment
This is the most important stage of the GATE 2019 counselling process. Here, candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of the choices filled by the candidates, their rank, and the availability of seats at that rank.
Stage 4: Reporting
It is the final stage of the GATE 2019 counselling process. This stage involves reporting at the nodal centre and then document verification.
