Every year during the start of the Engineering entrance exams season, Institutes which are sought after the most is the Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs). All the 23 IITs become the centre of attraction for lakhs of engineering aspirants across the country during this season. So tough is the competition to bag a seat in one of these premier institutes that, out of the total number of exam takers, only around 0.6% get selected to pursue their dream course. This article aims at decoding those aspects of these institutions which makes them the most favoured engineering institutions in the country. This article will also try to silence all the discussions regarding which is the best IIT between IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay.

Why IITs?
