  • Overall Day 2 Shift 2 exam was moderate. 
  • Like the earlier shift today, Chemistry was the easiest of all the sections.
  • Two questions were asked from the periodic table.
  • Compared to Day 2 Shift 1 Mathematics section was a bit on the easier side. Overall the section comprised lengthy questions.
  • Physics questions were simple and were formulae-based.
  • 2 questions were asked from Vector 3D.
  • Shift 2 exam comprised major questions from Organic Chemistry to Inorganic and Physical Chemistry.
  • Numerical-based questions were asked from Physical Chemistry in Shift 2.
  • Overall the Paper 1 Day 2 Shift 2 exam was balanced.

As per the reactions of the students and experts analysis, the overall difficulty level of JEE Main 2024 shift 1 and shift 2 question paper was moderate. The section wise JEE Main paper 1 overall exam analysis 29 January has been discussed below:
  • Mathematics: This section was moderate to difficult. The questions were tricky and time taking. Some of the questions required too much time, leading to many students attempting fewer questions in this section. The paper followed the syllabus but a few questions required the knowledge of deleted topics to get to the final answer. Approx 60% formula based questions in Maths were observed.Class 12 weightage was more.
  • Physics: This section was moderate. There were many theory based questions in this section. Most of the questions were asked from basic concepts of NCERT books.
  • Chemistry: This section was easy to moderate. Maximum number of questions were asked from Organic Chemistry. There were very few lengthy questions.

How to Use JEE Main Question Paper and Answer Key to Calculate Expected Score?

Applicants can use the JEE Main today paper shift 1 Memory-Based Question Paper and Answer Key to calculate their expected score in the exam. To do this, the following steps can be followed:

  • Download the JEE Main 2024 question paper and answer key.
  • Match your answers with the solutions given.
  • If your answer is correct, award yourself 4 marks.
  • If your answer is incorrect, deduct 1 mark.
  • Calculate the overall score. This will be your expected JEE Main score.

JEE Main Answer Key 2024

NTA will release the official JEE Main Answer Key 2024 approximately 10 days after the exam is over on February 1, 2024. This means candidates can expect JEE Main Answer Key 2024 to be released by February 11, 2024, tentatively. 

Initially, NTA will release the provisional answer key for JEE Main. Candidates will be able to raise objections against the provisional key by paying Rs 500. After review, JEE Main final answer key will be released. Based on the final answer key, JEE Main result 2024 will be released. JEE Main session 2 exam date has been released already which will start from April 3, 2024.
