JoSAA 2024 Round 3: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will declare the JoSAA 2024 seat allotment result for Round 3 on July 12, 2024, on its official website josaa.nic.in. Candidates have to use their JEE Main / JEE Advanced 2024 application number, password, and security pin to access the JoSAA seat allotment result 2024 for Round 3. Candidates will be allotted seats through JoSAA 2024 Round 3 depending upon their merit in the qualifying examination, choices provided by them and the total number of seats available in the participating institutes. JoSAA 2024 Round 3 Choice Filling

JoSAA choice filling 2024 is a significant facet of the JoSAA counselling process 2024 in which candidates need to select their preferred colleges and courses. The JoSAA 2024 round 3 choice filling process has been elaborated below.

  • Step 1- JoSAA Registration: Visit the JoSAA 2024 official website and log in to your candidate portal using your JEE Main/ JEE Advanced 2024 application number and password. After successful login, the details of the candidates will automatically be fetched from the database of JEE Main/ JEE Advanced. You can find all the details and make changes wherever allowed. You can change your password at the time of registration and it is advised to note down the password as it will be needed for the further JoSAA counselling process 2024.
  • Step 2 - Choice filling: After you have registered successfully, you need to fill in choices of your institutes and courses of preference. There is no maximum  limit imposed upon the number of choices that can be filled. You must fill the choices in the order of your priority since you’ll be allotted seats based upon your preferences. It is advisable to fill as many choices as possible to strengthen your chances of getting admission at the participating institutes.
  • Step 3 - Choice locking: After the filling of choices, you need to lock the filled choices before the specified deadline. If your filled choices are not locked before the last date, the choices will get automatically locked by the authority.

The JoSAA seat allotment 2024 will be done depending upon the rank obtained by the candidates in the JEE Main/ JEE Advanced 2024 exam and the choices provided by them. Candidates will be able to find the JoSAA seat allotment result 2024 for round 3 from the official website using their login credentials. After a seat has been allotted to the candidates, they will be provided with 4 options which have been mentioned below.

  • Freeze - Candidates who are content with the colleges/ courses allotted to them can accept the allotment and freeze their seats.
  • Float - Candidates who want to keep the allotted seat but also want to take part in the next round of counselling can opt for the float option. In such case, candidates can select either seat allotted to them.
  • Slide - Candidates who are content with the allotted college but wish to change the course within the allotted institute can opt for the slide option.
  • Withdraw - Candidates who have accepted the allotment but are not content with the allotted seat and don’t want to secure admission at the allotted college can withdraw their seats by visiting the respective colleges.
