National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) was earlier known as the National Institute of Training in Industrial Engineering. It was established by the Government of India in 1963 and is one of the oldest and top business schools in India. NITIE also offers Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering (PGDIE) and a Fellow Programme. Since PGDIE is a technical diploma, admissions to the programme are done on the basis of GATE score. The selection process and the cutoff requirement for PGDIE are similar to that of PGDMM and PGDPM. However, candidates must be aware of the fact that PGDIE is not a management programme.
