Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad is one of the most preferred B-schools in north-India for MBA aspirants. It is a cluster 3 college and has consistently been ranked among the top 20 MBA colleges in India. IMT, Ghaziabad was established in 1980 and was approved by AICTE in 1983.
IMT is an autonomous institution that offers various post graduate, doctorate and executive level management programmes. Apart from the full-time courses, IMT also offers distance learning and collaborative programmes. IMT Ghaziabad has been acclaimed for its marketing-related courses.
In 2015, the institute was ranked 13th among Indian B-Schools by Business Today. IMT is also popular among students for its international collaborations and was therefore ranked 5th among colleges with International Linkages by CNBC- TV18 in 2013. The institute has three other campuses, IMT Nagpur – established in 2004, IMT Dubai – started in 2006 and IMT Hyderabad – started in 2011.
Selection on the basis of the following exam scores, however, clearing the cutoff does not ensure admission to IMT’s MBA programme. The cutoff keeps changing every academic session depending on the number of applicants and difficulty of the exam. Check out the selection norms of IMT:
- IMT has a two-phase selection process and initially it selects students on the basis of their score in either of XAT, CAT and GMAT exams.
- IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad also consider the score of CMAT exam apart from the ones mentioned above.
- IMT does not set any sectional cutoffs and selection is done on the basis of a candidate’s overall score.
- Apart from the entrance exam scores, academic record of the candidate, his work experience and communication skills are also accounted for admission in IMT.
