About Management Quota (Category-B) B.Tech Admission through AP EAMCET 2025

There are two kinds of seats for BTech admission in Telangana Engineering Colleges: Category A and Category B. The following points will help you understand how these two groups are classified:

  • Category A seats: 70% of the sanctioned intake falls within this category, which is filled by the EAMCET Convenor.
  • Category B seats: The competent body of the Government of A.P. makes 30% of the sanctioned intake in each course through an online admission process; through management quota

Important Guidelines for Management Quota (Category-B) B.Tech Admission through AP EAMCET 2025

Some of the important guidelines to remember before applying for Management Quota (Category-B) B.Tech Admission through AP EAPCET 2025 are as follows:

  • An applicant must be 16 years old as of December 31st of the Academic Year for which admissions are being held.
  • 5% for NRI candidates (children of NRIs). – Eligibility: Candidates must pass the qualifying examination with at least 50% marks in the relevant group topics or 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or a CGPA of 5 on a scale of 10.
  • NRI candidates (sons and daughters of NRIs) must have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 50% marks in the prescribed group subjects or 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) equivalent to 5 on a scale of 10.
  • The remaining seats will be filled on a merit basis by applicants who have earned a rank at JEE and not less than 45% in the designated group topics in the qualifying examination under A.P. Presidential Order 1974.
  • The seats left vacant shall be replaced by eligible applicants who qualified in the EAMCET test on merit according to the eligibility requirements outlined in Rule (4).
  • If any seats remain unfilled, they will be filled on a merit basis with candidates obtaining not less than 45% (40% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) of marks in the prescribed group subjects taken together / aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, as prescribed by the A.P. Presidential Order 1974.
  • After filling all seats under the AP Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order 1974, as later modified, any vacant seats shall be filled in accordance with the instructions given by the Competent Authority from time to time.

Following is the list of documents required for Category B Management quota B. Tech admission through AP EAMCET 2025 exam:

  • Demand Draft for Rs.5,000/-
  • Copy of the SSC/X-Class Marks Memo
  • Copy of the Intermediate (long Memo)/XII-Class Marks Memo
  • Bonafide Certificate(s) from VI to XII-Class
  • Community Certificate
  • Copy of Equivalence Certificate for the Qualifying Examination (other than Intermediate) issued by the Board of Intermediate Education
  • Copy of the JEE Main admit card 2025 and Rank Card(If applicable)
  • Copy of AP EAMCET admit card 2025 and Rank Card(if applicable)

In the case of an application for an NRI seat, also enclose

  • Sponsorship letter
  • Proof of NRI status
  • Copy of passport of the sponsor with Visa validity
  • Employment letter issued by the Employer abroad
