Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune offers admission to candidates that qualify SITEEE 2020 for undergraduate engineering courses like B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or B.Tech in Civil Engineering. SITEEE is also known as The Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination or SIT Engineering Entrance Examination. Formerly known as SET 2020 (Symbiosis Entrance Test), SITEEE exam is a test held in an online mode. The registration process for the entrance exam had begun online and the last date for the submission of the same had been extended upto 20th May 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak and nationwide lockdown. Candidates could submit their application forms for SITEEE 2020 until 20th May 2020. The date of examination has also been released now and SITEEE 2020 will be held on 19th July 2020.

How to Apply for SITEEE 2020
A candidate must visit the official website of SET and register by clicking on the ‘Register Now’ tab. The registration process has begun already and will extend till 10th May 2020. Follow the procedure given below in order to successfully apply for SITEEE exam 2020.
The candidates must visit the SET official website and click on the ‘Register Now’ tab.
The aspirant is required to fill all the necessary personal and academic information on the page.
A dropdown appears in the discipline/ programme preference and the candidate must select SITEEE (SET-Engineering) from the afternoon session.
Once all the details are filled, candidates need to upload a passport size photograph that lies between 10 KB and 500 KB. Also, the uploaded image should be in .png, .jpg, .jpeg and .gif formats only.
The next step is the fee payment. The fee for the entrance test of SITEEE is Rs. 2,000 that is non-transferable and non-refundable. Candidates can pay the fee through net banking, debit/credit card or through DD (Demand Drafts).
After the payment is made, the candidates receive a confirmation mail with their application number. Admit cards are issued only to those who have received the email.
SITEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Only if a candidate satisfies the eligibility criteria can he/she apply for the SITEEE 2020. Conditions such as subjects studied, nationality and pass percentage should be met by the candidates in order to appear for SITEEE test. Listed below are the eligibility criteria for Indian students and for International students that need to be met by the aspirants.
SITEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria: Indian Students
Mentioned here is the criteria that an Indian student needs to meet to be eligible for the SITEEE test.
The candidate must pass intermediate/class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects along with Biotechnology/ Biology/ Chemistry/ Technical Vocational subject with an aggregate of 45% marks. (The reserved category candidates are given a relaxation of 5% and they can apply for the same with 40% marks)
If a student is seeking admission to B.Tech (Lateral Entry), he/she should possess a diploma from AICTE approved institute with an aggregate of 45% marks. (Reserved category candidates are awarded a relaxation of 5%. They can apply for the B.Tech Lateral Entry programme with an aggregate of 40% )
If an individual has cleared the qualifying examination from any foreign university or board, he/she must be in possession of an equivalent certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities)
SITEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria: International Students
If an international student is willing to apply for the SITEEE 2020, he/she must fulfil the eligibility criteria listed below.
The candidate must have passed class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Biology/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject.
The aggregate marks of the candidate in the qualifying examination should be 45%. The aspirants falling under the reserved category are provided with a relaxation of 5%. They can apply for the exam with an aggregate of 40%.
The applicant need not appear for other engineering entrance exams like JEE Main, MHT-CET or SET in India.

The SIT Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted in multiple cities of India. The exam has a total of 100 questions and each question has only one correct answer. The result for the SITEEE will be released online tentatively in the month of June 2020 by the exam authorities of Symbiosis Institute of Technology.
