SLAT Law Admission Process

SLAT law admission 2026 is conducted by Symbiosis International Deemed University annually to offer admission to its law courses. This year, the SLAT 2026 will be conducted on December 20 and 28, 2025, and the registrations for which are currently ongoing. The last date to apply is November 30, 2025. The SLAT 2026 admit card will be released on the official website on December 11, 2025, and the SLAT 2026 result will be released on January 15, 2026.

After the qualification of SLAT 2026, the shortlisted students will have to qualify for SLAT law admission 2026 PI and complete the counselling process in order to get the desired seat to pursue the desired course specialisation on the basis of SLAT scores.

What is SLAT 2026?

The SLAT 2026 or Symbiosis Law Admission Test is a law entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International University every year to offer admission to its four law schools, namely SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad and SLS Nagpur. The courses offered by the SLS participating institutions are mentioned below. The combined seat intake is 1080 seats for the SLAT 2025 admission.

The SLAT 2026 will be conducted two times; test 1 will be conducted on December 20, 2025, and test 2 will be held on December 28, 2025. On the basis of marks secured in the SLAT 2026, the number of seats available, academic achievements, etc, the SLS institutions will shortlist the students, wherein they will have to qualify the personal interview round in order to proceed with the SLAT 2026 admission.

SLAT 2026 eligibility criteria must be fulfilled in order to get a chance to be part of the SLAT law admission 2026. The eligibility requirements are explained below.

  • General category students must have completed 10+2 from a recognised school (national or state board) with a minimum of 45% marks in any stream to be eligible for the SLAT law admission 2026.
  • Reserved category students must have completed 10+2 from a recognised school (national or state board) with a minimum of 40% marks in any stream to be considered for the SLAT law admission 2026.
  • Applicants who have appeared for 10+2 final examinations and are waiting for the results can also apply by providing a passing certificate at the time of final admission.
  • Moreover, students need to qualify for the SLAT exam with a good score to participate in the SLAT law admission 2026.

SLAT 2026 Application Process

SLAT 2026 application process is conducted in an online mode. The application form for this year has already been released on the official website, and the last date to register is November 30, 2025.

You can follow the guidelines given below to know how to register for the SLAT law admission 2026.

  • Firstly, you need to visit the official website of the exam conducting body and register yourself for the very first time by clicking on the “Apply Now” tab.
  • After successful registration, you will receive the login credentials at the provided email address, using which you have to log in and start filling out the application form.
  • After entering all the required details, you have to click on ‘Save and Continue’.
  • You will also be required to upload certain documents for verification purposes in the prescribed format while filling out the application form. You have to make sure that the documents provided are valid in order to avoid any serious repercussions.
  • Finally, you will have to pay the registration fees of INR 2250 per test (plus applicable taxes) by using the provided payment gateway network.
  • You must save a copy of the application form as well as the fee receipt for future reference.

SLAT 2026 Admission Process

SLAT law admission 2026 is based upon the qualification of the SLAT entrance exam, followed by clearing the SLAT 2026 Personal Interview (PI).

After qualifying the entrance exam, you have to register individually for each SLS law school on the basis of marks obtained by filling a registration form and paying INR 1000 per program, after which the personal interview will be conducted individually by the participating institutions.

After qualifying the required rounds, you will have to participate in the counselling process under which seats are allocated based on marks secured, total number of seats, result in the PI round, reservation policy, etc.

All those who will be allocated seats will then fulfil further admission formalities to confirm their seat.

During the SLAT law admission 2026, you are required to provide several documents at the time of the application process, as well as during the counselling process for verification purposes. You are advised to provide legal and authentic documents, as providing illegally procured documents may lead to cancellation of candidature or disqualification.

SLAT 2026 Admit Card

SLAT 2026 admit card is an essential document which will be released on the official website of the exam conducting body on December 11, 2025. SLAT 2026 Result

SLAT 2026 results is released a few days after the exam has been successfully conducted; this year, the results will be released on January 15, 2025. You will be able to check your result by visiting the official website using your login credentials.

The details mentioned on the result/ scorecard contain the name of the student, roll number of the student, total score obtained by the student, subject-wise breakup of marks, overall rank, provisional qualification status, category of the student, etc. All these parameters will be considered at the time of SLAT law admission 2026.

SLAT 2026 Personal Interaction

SLAT law admission 2026 includes both an entrance test and a personal interview round, which is to be taken by students mandatorily. The personal interview is conducted in an online, remote proctored mode, for which you have to book your slots and upload the documents required. The admission panel will assess your performance by evaluating your communication skills, suitability to study law, as well as your personality. The weightage of the personal interview round would be 30 marks, and the weightage of the entrance exam would be scaled down to 70 marks. The combined score of both will be considered for final seat allocation. The written ability test has been removed.

SLAT 2026 Counselling Process

For the SLAT law admission 2026, the SLAT 2026 counselling process is conducted, which is not centralised. All those students who qualify for the exam have to submit their scores for applying separately to the SLS schools by paying the registration fee. Followed by which the law schools will conduct their own PI round to shortlist students.

Shortlisted students have to then submit their documents for verification purposes, after which they will be allocated seats.

SLAT 2026 Reservation Policy

SLAT participating institutes follow the reservation policy in accordance with the government of the state, which is as follows:

Within the Sanctioned Intake:

  • Scheduled Caste: 15% seats
  • Scheduled Tribe: 7.5% seats
  • Differently Abled: 0.3% seats

Over & Above Sanctioned Intake:

  • Kashmiri migrants and Kashmiri Pandits/ Kashmiri Hindu families living in the Kashmir Valley (Non-Migrants): 02 seats per programme.
  • A maximum of 20% seats are reserved for international candidates.
