Rounds of SLAT 2024

The admission process followed by the various Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS) to shortlist students comprises several rounds. The selection of candidates is a three-tiered process. The rounds of admission are:

  1. Symbiosis Law Entrance Test (SLAT): This is an objective entrance exam that consists of multiple-choice based questions. There are five sections in this exam:
    • Legal Reasoning
    • Logical Reasoning
    • English Comprehension
    • General Knowledge
    • Analytical Reasoning
  2. Written Ability Test (WAT): The SLAT exam is followed by WAT which is a subjective exam. The WAT answers of candidates are evaluated only if they qualify the SLAT cutoff. Before COVID, SLAT and WAT were held on separate days but now they are taken together.
  3. Personal Interview: Candidates who qualify the SLAT and WAT cutoff scores are sent call letters for the personal interview round. The interview is held online and is the final round of selection.
