BHU UET (LL.B) 2022 Preparation Tips: Section Wise

BHU UET for LLB is conducted for 120 minutes and 50 questions are asked from each section. A candidate must start the preparation for BHU UET (LLB) by chalking out a plan of action. Once the plan has been formulated, it becomes easy to implement it. The three sections namely English Comprehension, Legal Aptitude and Mental Ability, General Awareness and Current Affairs are very different from each other. Preparation for each of these sections varies from candidate to candidate. More time should be invested in the section which the applicant find difficult. Enlisted below are individual section-wise preparation tips for BHU UET (LLB). Go through them to fetch good scores in the final examination.

English Comprehension: This section sums up 50 questions which are one-third of the total questions in the exam. For getting a hold of the English Comprehension section, a law aspirant must follow the below-mentioned tips.

  • Inculcate the habit of reading! Read something that interests you every day. You should also go through different newspapers and magazines as they help in widening the vocabulary of the student. It is also proven to be beneficial in sharpening the ability to draw inferences and to identify the tone and purpose of a paragraph.

  • Do your research before the final examination! Right from the syllabus to the exceptions, make sure that you have a thorough understanding of the subject.

  • Try to make your grammar strong by revisiting the rules of grammar. Relying on your intuition is a dangerous game while attempting the BHU UET (LLB) exam as it includes negative marking scheme. A good grip on grammar solves half the difficulty of the section.

  • Practising a lot is always a good idea. Play English quizzes or regularly solve the question papers and mock tests. It not only puts your knowledge to test but also let you know the areas where you require the scope of improvement.

Legal Aptitude and Mental Ability: Just like English Comprehension, the Legal Aptitude and Metal Ability section too has 50 questions with 3 marks given for each correct answer. The questions test the legal knowledge of the students along with their legal reasoning skills. Go through the below-mentioned tips to get the full score in this section.

  • Practise, practise and practise! Legal Aptitude and Mental Ability demand regular practice. With the right kind of study/practice material and devotion, anyone can score well in this section of the exam.

  • Legal Aptitude and Mental Ability is a vast category. Try to clear your doubts by picking reliable books and educational sources.

  • Time Management is the key to success! While practising, set a timer on your clock and try to match your pace with it. Attempt all the questions in the limited time period just like you would do in the final exam. It increases your speed and also your efficiency.

  • Leave some time for revision as well. It not only helps in refreshing your memory but also re-feeds your brain with the information that you might have forgotten during the preparation before.

General Awareness and Current Affairs: The General Awareness and Current Affairs section has very straightforward questions. This section requires the least amount of time to be attempted as the candidate either knows the answer or he/she simply does not. There is no middle ground with this section and guesswork is not an option. Read the tips enlisted below on how to ace the General Awareness and Current Affairs section.

  • Reading newspapers, journals, magazines daily and also watching the news regularly can help a candidate immensely in preparing for this section.

  • Make a journal and write important news or data covering the narrations under two or three bullet points. Go through them while revising for the BHU UET exam for LLB.

  • Take a peek into the previous year’s question papers and get an idea of the type of questions that might be asked in the final examination. Try to cover such information while preparing for the same.

  • Download or subscribe to e-magazines, news apps, newspapers as they keep you notified and updated.
