TNEA Round 3 Counselling

TNEA Round 3 Counselling: The TNEA Round 3 choice filling 2023 is scheduled to commence from August 24, 2023. Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu conducts the TNEA 2023 counselling round 3 for candidates willing to take admissions in B.Tech / B.E. colleges in the state. The entire counselling procedure will be conducted in the online mode at tneaonline.org. Every applicant will be allotted seats on the basis of TNEA rank list 2023 released on June 26, 2023. Applicants must note that the TNEA round 3 counselling will be done only for the seats that are remaining vacant after the second round of TNEA counselling. TNEA Counselling Detailed Procedure

For admission at various B.E. / B.Tech courses and colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu, every applicant is required to take part in the counselling process. The TNEA counselling is an online process which includes various steps like registration, payment of deposit, filling of choices, seat allotment and confirmation. The detailed TNEA counselling process is mentioned below.

Candidate Registration & Verification of Certificates

The very first step to take part in the TNEA counselling process is to complete the registration process. Every candidate has to register themselves to take part in the counselling process. After successfully completing the registration process, applicants have to upload their documents for the verification process. 

TNEA Rank List 2023 Publication

TNEA rank list 2023 was published by DoTE on June 26, 2023 on TNEA official website. The TNEA 2023 rank list is published using the scores obtained by the candidates in physics, chemistry, and mathematics in their senior secondary exam.  The rank of the candidates in the rank list of TNEA will determine the probability of admission in the participating colleges of TNEA.

TNEA Choice Filling 2023

In this stage of counselling, candidates are required to enter their preferred choice of college and course. Every applicant must ensure to fill their choices in order of their preference and there is no limit on the number of choices that can be filled by the candidates.

TNEA Seat Allotment 2023

TNEA 2023 seat allotment result is declared after each round of TNEA counselling. Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their marked preference of college and course and their respective rank in the TNEA rank list 2023. The seat allotment result will consist of details like the name of the candidate, college name, branch name. 

TNEA 2023 Seat Allotment Confirmation

If a candidate is allotted a seat during the seat allocation procedure, they will be given alternatives for confirming their position. In order to avoid being moved to the next round of counselling, candidates must confirm their seat within two days of the date of allotment.

Reporting to Allotted Institute

The last step in TNEA counselling is reporting to the allotted institute / college. Candidates who have been allotted a seat during the seat allotment result must download the TNEA seat allotment letter and report to the allotted institute within 7 days with the important documents and complete their admission process by paying the requisite admission fees.  

TNEA Eligible Ranks 

TNEA eligible ranks are released by Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu on its official website. The eligible rank depends upon the scores obtained by the candidates in their senior secondary examination. The TNEA eligible rank is dependent on various factors like total number of seats at the TNEA participating colleges, number of candidates taking part in the counselling process and the TNEA previous year cutoff trends.

TNEA Vacant Seats

Every candidate is allotted a seat at the TNEA participating colleges on the basis of the rank at TNEA rank list. A total of 151870 seats are available across all the participating colleges in TNEA counselling. A candidate will only be allotted a seat in the TNEA Round 3 Counselling after the seats are allotted to candidates in the second round of counselling. Therefore, only the vacant seats after round 2 counselling are available to applicants for round 3 TNEA counselling 2023.
