UP M.Tech Admission 2022 - The entrance exam for M.Tech admission in Uttar Pradesh, i.e., UPCET is expected to be conducted soon. The last date to apply for UPCET 2022 is June 15, 2022. The counselling for M.Tech admission in UP is expected to begin from June 22, 2022. Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow is responsible to conduct the process for admission in engineering courses in the state of Uttar Pradesh. NTA conducts UPCET for those candidates who want to take admission in the M.Tech course in Uttar Pradesh. Entrance Exams for UP M.Tech Admission 2022

Admission in M.Tech course in the states of Uttar Pradesh is considered on the basis of state-level entrance examination UPCET or national level examination GATE. The candidate must have either of the two test scores to attend the counselling rounds conducted by UPCET. Candidates who have a valid GATE score card can directly apply for UPCET counselling rounds. UPCET is an entrance exam conducted in online mode at the designated centres of UPCET. The duration of the examination is 2 hours and comprises 100 questions. Multiple-choice questions are asked in the examination.

UP M.Tech 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for M.Tech course in the states of Uttar Pradesh are as follows: -

• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

• The minimum percentage in the qualifying examination should be at least 50%

• The candidates must choose the relevant M.Tech specialization based on his/ her B.Tech degree

Candidates whose names appear in the merit list after the state level entrance examination will have to appear in the counselling rounds. UP M.Tech Admission Process 2022

Admission in the M.Tech course offered in the states of Uttar Pradesh is considered on the basis of the GATE/ UPCET entrance examination. Step by step procedure of the M.Tech Admission Process is illustrated below: -

• All candidates seeking admission in the M.Tech course can fill in the application form for the UPCET entrance examination through the official website

• All candidates who have passed the qualifying examination or are appearing for the qualifying examination for the current academic year can apply for UPCET. Those candidates who have a valid GATE score card need not apply for UPCET. Instead, they can directly appear in UPCET M.Tech counselling rounds
• Once, the UPCET M.Tech examination is conducted successfully, the conducting body releases the merit list of candidates. Now, the candidates can apply for UPCET counselling rounds
• The required documents are verified in the counselling rounds. Those whose qualifying exams results are awaited will have to produce the results at the time of counselling otherwise they will not be considered for admission
• Admission of the candidate can also be cancelled in case the documents produced are fake or not relevant as per the specification
• Seat allotment in the participating institute will be done after the counselling rounds and will be considered on the merit basis of candidates and availability of seats in the respective institute
• The candidate will have to pay the starting the initial tuition fees at the time of counselling to confirm the allotment of seats

UP M.Tech Fee 2022

Application Fees: The fee to fill in the online application form for examination is Rs 1300 for Male / Transgender Candidates of the General or OBC Category.

The application fees for SC/ ST category candidates, female, PH candidates of all categories will have to pay Rs. 650/- for the application.

Tuition Fees: Tuition fees for M.Tech course in Govt. / Govt. aided colleges/ institutes in UP is defined a per the latest orders of Government of UP.

Fees in Private/Govt. Aided institutions that offer self-financed courses will be defined as per the latest notification or orders issued by the UP government.
