The GATE 2025 XH qualifying marks have been announced by IIT Roorkee. As per the details released, the GATE XH qualifying cutoff marks vary from 40 for General, 36 for OBC NCL/ EWS, and 26.6 for SC/ ST/ PwD.

GATE 2025 XH Qualifying Marks: IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 Humanities and Social Sciences (XH) paper on its website. If you wish to qualify the exams, then you must secure as many marks as the GATE XH qualifying cutoff. After qualifying the GATE 2025 exam , you will be eligible for counselling and admission. Talking about the GATE 2025 qualifying cutoff marks, it ranges from 40 for General, 36 for OBC NCL/ EWS, and 26.6 for SC/ ST/ PwD categories. The GATE 2025 XH qualifying cutoff marks are decided based on various factors such as the exam difficulty level, total number of exam takers, seat availability, and the previous year trends.

Around 4,000 students sit for the GATE Humanities and Social Sciences paper every year. In the year 2025, a total of 4161, 5665, 378, 702, 5709, and 2147 students registered for Economics, English, Linguistics, Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology papers. In 2024, the maximum number of takers were for English (3,900) and Pyschology (3,415). Talking about the previous year cutoffs, it varied based on the subjects, i.e. 37 for Economics, 48 for English, 49.7 for Linguistics, 39.3 for Philosophy, 52.7 for Psychology, and 36 for Sociology. Dear Student,

It is not mandatory to pay the tuition fee for the college allotted in Phase 1 to be eligible for Phase 2 of TS PGECET 2025 counselling. If you wish to upgrade your seat you can participate in Phase 2 web options even if you do not pay the fees or report to the college allotted in the first phase. However, if you have already paid the fee for the Phase 1 college and then get a new seat in the second phase of counselling, the fees paid earlier be transferred to the new college.
