GATE EE 2026 exam date is February 14, 2026, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm , as per the official GATE examination window. The exam follows the standard three-hour computer-based format prescribed for all GATE papers.

As per the GATE 2026 syllabus for EE, there are 2 parts: a General Aptitude segment and a core subject. Key topics for the Electrical Engineering part include Engineering Mathematics, Electric circuits, Electromagnetic Fields, Signals and Systems, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Electrical and Electronic Measurements, etc.

The GATE 2026 EE answer key and response sheet will be released on the official website after the exam, allowing test takers to review their responses and estimate their probable score ahead of the GATE result declaration. IIT Guwahati does not release any hard copies of the question paper. However, a few days after the exam, it releases the soft copies of the question paper on its website. The GATE EE 2026 answer key will be out a couple of days after the exam. With the help of the answer key, you will be able to get an idea about your tentative exam marks. Firstly, IIT Guwahati will release the provisional GATE 2026 answer key that you can object to for a given period of time.
