HP NEET Merit List 2025: Tie-Breaking Criteria
When two or more students in the same category achieve equal marks on the NEET UG 2025, the following tie-breaking procedures are applied:
The first preference of tie-breaking criteria is given to students who scored higher in the Biology section of the NEET UG 2025. Students who perform better in the Biology part will receive a higher rank.
The next step to break the tie will be to look at their scores in the Chemistry section; whoever does better will be rated higher.
If the above-mentioned criteria fail to break the tie, in such scenarios, the number of incorrect answers attempted will be counted as the third tiebreaker. Higher ranks will be given to students who provided fewer incorrect responses in NEET UG 2025.
Age criteria are the final tie-breaking step; older students will be given preference.

The HP NEET Merit List 2025 for round 1 counselling is expected to be published by the authorities on August 1, 2025.
