IIM Indore Admission Criteria 2026-28 Key Changes

• The selection criteria for a majority of IIMs in India are quite similar to each other. For the academic year 2025-27, IIM Indore introduced some major changes to its admission process and selection criteria listed below. Only 20% of the final merit list that is generated after the PI Round is based on the CAT 2025 score.
• Academic achievement in classes 10 and 12 is given 74% of the weight in the selection process for PI.
• 6.4% Weight is given for Diversity Factor (DF)
• Total Maximum Weightage Percentage is now 80 instead of 100.
• The final round of selection will not include a Written Ability Test (WAT) round
• When generating the final merit list, PI is given 40% weight.

Stage 2: Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)

IIM Indore Eligibility Criteria 2026

IIM Indore has revised its PGP eligibility requirements for 2026-28, implementing particular adjustments for candidates according to their graduation year. The requirements are broken down into the following simplified form:

Eligibility for Graduates of 2019 or Earlier

• Academic Qualification: Must have a bachelor's degree with:
  • At least 50% marks (General category)
  • At least 45% marks (SC, ST, or PWD categories)

Eligibility for Graduates of 2020 or Later

• Criteria for Pass/Promotion Certificates:
  • Due to evaluation changes during the COVID-19 pandemic, candidates with a “promotion/pass” certificate (instead of awarded marks) are eligible.
  • These adjustments accommodate variations in grading systems adopted by universities during 2021–2025.
• Final-Year Students with Awarded Marks: Candidates in their final year, with “award of marks,” are also eligible under this modified rule.

General Admission Requirements

• CAT 2025: Candidates must have appeared for CAT 2025 and must obtain the prescribed minimum sectional and overall percentage.
• Grades/CGPA: If grades/CGPA are awarded instead of marks, then eligibility will be assessed based on:
  • University/institution's Conversion Policy
  • In case no such policy exists, IIM Indore would equate it by taking the ratio of the CGPA obtained to the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying it by 100.

Eligibility for Final-Year Students

• Provisional Applications
  • Bachelor's degree students in their final year or awaiting results can apply.
  • They should give a certificate from the principal, head, registrar, or director of their institution that includes:
    • They are in their final year.
    • They have obtained at least 50% marks (General) or 45% marks (SC, ST, PWD) till now.
