JEECUP 2020 counselling

JEECUP 2020 Counselling has started from September 30, 2020, and the Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on October 13, 2020. The counselling is conducted by Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEEC) Uttar Pradesh in the online mode. Those who have qualified the JEECUP 2020 exam can register online for Counselling.

 Through the JEECUP 2020 counselling, the qualified candidates will be provided admission to Diploma/ Post Diploma/ Post Graduate Diploma courses in Engineering, Technology, & Management. The candidates will be provided seats to various Polytechnic colleges affiliated by the Board of Technical Education on the basis of their rank in JEECUP 2020. JEECUP 2020 Counselling and Seat Allotment

JEECUP 2020 counselling is going to be held online. There are various steps which will be included for JEECUP 2020 counselling process such as registration, fee payment, choice filling & locking, document verification, etc. Those who have qualified the exam will first have to register for the counselling. The step by step process for JEECUP 2020 Counselling 

JEECUP 2020 Counselling Procedure

The step by step process for JEECUP 2020 counselling are mentioned in details below:



Step 1: Registration

Register for JEECUP Counselling 2020. Candidates will have to fill the registration form using all the important details and generate a new password. 

Step 2: Fee Payment

After generating a new password and submitting the registration form, pay the counselling fee to complete their registration. It is important for the candidates to read the complete terms & conditions before paying the counselling fee as the fee will be non-refundable.

Step 3: Choice Filling & Locking

After the successful registration, the candidates will have to fill their choices for college and courses before the last date. The choice filling should be in the order of priority and fill as many as choices as they want to maximise their chance of getting a seat. It is also important for the candidates to lock their choices before the last date or else the choices made will be automatically locked on the last date.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

During the seat allotment process, candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their JEECUP 2020 rank and choices. If the candidate accepts the seat allotted, he/ she will have to pay an acceptance fee of INR 3000/- which will be later adjusted in the admission fee.

Step 5: Acceptance (Freeze/ Float)

After the seat allocation pay the acceptance fees and select one of the two options:

Freeze: If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat and wants to lock it, he/ she will have to choose the Freeze option. 

Float: If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat and wants to appear for the next counselling round, he/ she can choose the Float option. If the candidate is allotted a higher seat in the next rounds, the previous seat allotted will be cancelled and vice versa.

Step 6: Document Verification & Reporting

After the seat allotment process, those who have selected the freeze option will have to pay the admission fee online and report at the allotted institute to submit their documents for verification.

Step 7: Final Admission Process

After document verification and payment of admission fee, the admission process will be completed.

JEECUP 2020 Counselling Fee

It is mandatory to pay the counselling fee at the time of registration. Those who fail to pay the JEECUP 2020 counselling fee within the stipulated time will not be allowed for the counselling process. The JEECUP 2020 counselling fee is INR 250/- and can be paid either in online mode (debit/ credit/ net banking) or offline mode (E-challan).

JEECUP 2020 Counselling Document Verification

The candidates must submit their documents for verification at the time of JEECUP 2020 counselling. Those who fail to submit their documents will be disqualified from the counselling process. It is also important for the candidates to bring one original and two photocopies of all the documents at the prescribed centre.

The important documents required for JEECUP 2020 Counselling are as follows:

  • JEECUP 2020 Score/ Rank Card

  • JEECUP 2020 hall ticket

  • JEECUP 2020 Counselling Letter (to be downloaded from the official website)

  • Qualifying Exam mark sheets/ certificates

  • Domicile Certificate (If applicable)

  • Migration Certificate

  • Reservation Certificate (If applicable)

  • Character Certificate

  • Recent Passport Size Photographs

JEECUP 2020 Seat Reservation

As prescribed by the Uttar Pradesh Government, there is certain seat reservation policy implied on the JEECUP 2020 counselling. As per the seat reservation policy, the candidates who belong to the reserved criteria will be given preference at the time of seat allotment. The JEECUP 2020 Seat Reservation Policy is as follows:
